Oak Creek Canyon Cabin Getaway - Peaceful Retreat in Sedona - Bear Howard Cabin

The entire cabin is lovely, and the kitchen was well maintained. We absolutely enjoyed the wood stove, and the entire place had a lot to offer. Also the surrounding area was beautiful, taking walks , and it has an easy hike with gorgeous views.

We were so comfortable and happy with our stay. My adult kids came with my husband and I so this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom option was perfect! Beds were comfy, kitchen was fully stocked with supplies, lots of dvds and games, decent sized propane grill, outside seating, and even apple trees on the property! We also liked that it was a short drive to the Westfork Trail. We do wish we could have stayed longer!!

Lovely home, well appointed and clean, responsive owner when we had a challenge with the furnace, Good location for those who want to explore both Sedona and Flagstaff (and beyond). Would definitely stay here again.

It was convenient for our needs but a little far from Sedona. The cabin itself was quite dated but clean.

This is a quirky fishing cabin but the kitchen was fully updated. The bathrooms were not, but it was the best shower water pressure! Don’t change a thing! We enjoyed dipping our tired feet in the creek after a long hike and sitting on the porch. The temperature is at least 10 degrees cooler than Sedona. That was a plus!

The kitchen was fully equipped and there were plenty of games. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the stay. The grill was nice and tank was full. Definitely want to stay here again.

The host and cabin were both awesome. We had a great new years together as a family and would certainly book again.

Cabin was perfect for 4 people. Excellent host, who was very communicative with detailed explanations for the stay. Excellent variety of games to play at night. Comfortable rooms. Very well stocked with everything needed. Highly recommend.

Our stay at this Sedona cabin was everything we hoped for and more. The location in the canyon was absolutely stunning! peaceful, scenic, and the perfect place to escape the Arizona heat. We took daily hikes right from the property and were constantly in awe of the natural beauty surrounding us.The cabin itself was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the patio. It quickly became our favorite spot for family meals, morning coffee, and evenings of unwinding and enjoying the fresh air.If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway with easy access to Sedona's amazing trails and landscapes, this place is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended—we’d definitely stay here again!

The stay was great. The Pine Flatts community is a wonderful place to have a relaxing time in the trees by the creek. The 200 ft tall Ponderosa Pines are beautiful.

We were lucky to stay at Bear Howard cabin for a special family event. The cabin is spacious and thoughtfully appointed and was perfect for our group of five. Beds are very comfortable, the house is well stocked, and the property is clean and organized inside and out. The location is stunning and Oak Creek Canyon is the perfect place for a wonderful and relaxing getaway. We will definitely be back. Thank you Sam and Susan for making our weekend perfect.

The Bear Howard Cabin was a perfectly cozy, clean, and very well-stocked hideaway for my family of 6. Just a 20 minute ride from downtown Sedona, we were able to enjoy hikes in the red rocks daily while returning to a super quiet, peaceful, and comfortable home in the evenings. The woodfire stove was perfect for the unexpected snow days during our stay, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking any type of meal. We appreciated the board and card games provided, the spaciousness of both the lofted lounge area and main level living room, and the old-school dvd collection. Would recommend for friend groups or families!

The house/cabin is in a nice quite mountainous community.We arrived on Saturday afternoon and were busy with a wedding all of Sunday. Our family checked out early on Monday as we had a long distances to travel back to our homes. Some went to CA and the others to ID. We enjoyed our short time there and would have loved to have stayed longer. It's a short, beautiful drive from the house to Sedona and would have really liked to spend some time there. Maybe that will have to be another trip!

Spent 2 nights in Sedona to kick off Spring Break. Cabin was perfect! Updated kitchen, wood burning stove heats up house fast, great water pressure in showers, comfy beds, big movie and game selection. The cabin felt remote but only 10 min away from Slide Rock and not far from Uptown Sedona.

My husband and I thought that the king sized bed upstairs was comfortable, it looked like it was a memory foam. We greatly enjoyed having the wood burning stove and kitchen in the heart of the home. We both liked that the tv was upstairs because we preferred watching the fire burn in the stove while talking in the evenings. The turn off for the house in the canyon is difficult in the dark as other guests have mentioned but our gps was spot on so we only drove past it once. We have Verizon and did not experience connection issues. The host did not communicate days in advance like some others that we have had but we did receive check in information before our arrival and contact during our stay

We absolutely loved our stay here. The cabin is so beautiful and the neighborhood was wooded and majestic. It really is one of the most special places in Arizona.

Bear Howard Cabin is nestled in Oak Creek Canyon in a quiet, small neighborhood. Oak Creek is a short walk away for fishing. Almost a dozen trout were visible from the access road. Road traffic was congested on the highway due to the narrow, two lane, curvy road. We built in extra time for driving anywhere, but the scenery was spectacular so it was worth it.

I've stayed at this cabin before and its always great every time. The owners are also great at communication. Will likely stay here again in the future.
