Island Park, Idaho
This 2 bedroom cabin has 2 attached bathrooms to each bedroom! There's a full kitchen, and a stackable washer and dryer for laundry. The cabin has a gas fireplace in the living room with TV. Perfect place for snowmobile/ATV trips with close access to trail systems nearby! Located right next to the Golf Course (1 minute) and short driving distance to the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park (25 minutes).
I won't be present during your stay but available for any questions or concerns. Please text or call to let me know and I'm happy to help.
Located just off the Island Park golf course in a quiet neighborhood of Island Park Village Resort. Only 25 minutes away from West entrance into Yellowstone National park and close to Henry's Fork on the Snake River. Right near Big Springs, float or fish the river nearby! Only 10 minutes to the Big Springs Boat Launch. Coffee pot rapids trail only 8 minutes away as well. Also the cabin is within about 2 minutes away from a couple restaurants and a gas station/grocery store where you can get anything you may need or forgot.
From mid-December to March you can depend on snow in Island Park. The roads are plowed, but its highly recommended to bring a vehicle that works well in the snow. A truck with clearance, 4WD or AWD is best. Please avoid brining mini vans or Honda civics as they can easily get stuck in the snow
There isn't any public transportation in the area so you'll need to have a vehicle to get around. There 700+ miles of trails that you can ride motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles etc on. We have ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles available for rent if you're looking for a different way to explore the area other than in a car.
The location to Yellowstone park ,restaurant and grocery store is good. But the cabin's wood blinds' shad control is broken unable to adjust the outside light coming into the house.
It was the perfect location for our family.
Everything was fine overall but property is on the older side with rugs covering most of stained carpet. Also, hot water would run out after 2 showers and a few key items were missing in kitchen such as can opener and strainer. Nothing too terrible but would not stay again for the current price. Half our party was at another nearby rental for less money and better housing.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The home could use some upgrading. Be sure to bring your own wine cork remover. The door latch in the master bedroom is on backwards and will not stay closed.
The home was very comfortable, everything we needed for our 3 night stay.
My family of 5 just got back from our first ever Yellowstone trip. We spent 4 nights in Island Park at this house. It’s a great spot for easy proximity to Yellowstone. Only takes about 25-30 mins to get from the house to West Yellowstone and then into the park. Some tips: Buy groceries before getting to Island Park. The “grocery” down the street is surprisingly well-stocked for its small size but is definitely not big enough to sustain a family for a multiple night stay. Leave for Yellowstone early. We arrived by 8:00 each morning and drove in with virtually no line. Enjoy the porch. The Idaho weather is incredible at this time of year. We came from Houston where it was 100+ the week we were gone. The house itself is a bit older, but it’s comfortable with a good Wi-Fi signal and big tv.
Very clean and comfort
The day we arrived, Yellowstone closed due to flooding. However, this house was perfect for a day of playing games and watching snow fall (in June), followed by several days of local state park visits and hikes. We enjoyed our visit very much. The home is as advertised. The manager communicated with us often to check on us due to the weather. Everything was great.
this property had a beautiful view. it also had a fully stocked kitchen! The shower was amazing!! The property advertises that it has 2 queen beds. they were defiantly not queen, more like full. also it advertises that they have a deck but no deck furniture to sit on and the grass was so high that we were unable to use the firepit. the front door had to be kept shut the whole time because the window was missing. Because of those issues i would not be staying at this property again.
This property is great for families looking for a place to stay while visiting Yellowstone. The neighborhood is quiet. It’s a good 20 minute drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone but the scenic driving makes it worthwhile. The property manager (Jake) was very responsive even late at night. He made the stay experience better.
The cabin was right in the middle of a golf course. So apart from golf, there are activities like tennis and adventure sports around the area. Loved the place and view of the mountains. Our stay was very cozy and pleasant. Just be sure to shop for groceries beforehand as the shop nearby closes at 6 pm and the next nearest store is 15 miles. All of us had a wonderful time at the meadow view cabin and would certainly recommend an extended stay there for visiting the Yellowstone park and other fun activities around. Thumbs up!
