Newton Creek Cabin is well equipped and located in a quiet private area west of Hill City. The covered porch invites you to chill out, smell the pines, and more fully take in the beauty surrounding you. A stay here invites you to remove hurry from your life and just be. We love the central location in the Black Hills area. A grocery store and fabulous restaurants in Hill City are a mere 5 minutes away. Mount Rushmore is about a 30 minute drive, an again was a destination we had to make. We made a day doing northern Black Hills activities driving the scenic Spearfish Canyon and hanging out in historic Deadwood. We also enjoyed a day trip to Custer State Park. This was our 2nd visit to Newton Creek Cabin and we were again well pleased with our 10 day stay. We wished we could have stayed longer, but ended our stay refreshed for the season ahead.
Great cabin in a great location. This was our second stay at this cabin and we look forward to staying again.
Close to town for convenience but nice and quiet with proximity to the bike trail.
The cabin was in the perfect location. It was clean and comfortable. We couldn’t ask for a better experience.
Cabin was in a great location for all of the area attractions, close enough for driving but far enough removed that you never felt like you were surrounded by other tourists. The kids loved the arcade game in the cabin, it gave them the perfect chance to just be kids ages 15, 10, 5, and 3 after a long day of site seeing. The cool evenings made it perfect for eating outside on the porch and I LOVED getting to start every morning with a cup of coffee by the small creek on the property. Super easy check in and check out process as well. We will definitely be re-booking another family vacation to this cabin!
Good location. Enjoyed the cabin.
Property was clean, in a great area, and close to so many attractions.
This was a beautiful cabin! Clean and very welcoming! Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, great relaxing livingroom! And a PAC Man game to play in the loft! Loved the solar fairy lights on the mountain behind us. Loved the sound of the creek on the side of the cabin! Absolutely a 5 star rating from us! We will be back! Oh - great location to see and do so many things in the Black Hills!
The location is perfect for a variety of activities- everyone would have something to do. The house was very quiet - we were not bothered by traffic noise. Very clean and just as described. Will stay there again
We had a great visit. We were close to everything and the cabin was a perfect for myself and my sisters! We took the trip for our Dad who passed before he was able to visit. We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the area was and so much to do & see!
There was 4 adults that stayed at the cabin which was the perfect amount of space. We rode side by sides so there was plenty of room for the truck and trailer. We parked the side by sides in garage every night. We were close enough to hill city, main attractions, and the trail system for off roading. The place is by main road. We were there over Labor Day but after that weekend, traffic was minimal. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you!!
Everything you would imagine a quaint log cabin nestled in the Black Hills to be. Small stream 15 yards from the deck made for abundant wildlife visitors. And no matter what's on the itinerary for the day, you're only a short drive away.
We loved our stay at the cabin. We saw a turkey with her babies, deer, and birds galore. We enjoyed the stream, especially our 4 yr old who loved splashing in it. Drinks or coffee on the porch was so pleasant, and the cabin is appointed with whatever you might need. It's so easy to get to and from town, but still feels remote. We were even able to make use of the trail across the street, which was a treat after a long drive. We would definitely stay again!
The cabin was perfect for our family of four. We loved the quiet location yet it was close to so many attractions. Cabin was comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!
