Nestled in the shadow of Blood Mountain, the home sits at the headwaters of Frogtown Creek providing waterfall views from a wide wrap-around deck & fire pit area. A wonderful 2 story living area w large brick FP & large fully equipped kitchen, allow for entertaining & time together. Enjoy all nature has to offer from this property.
Cabin was perfectly located to do day hikes on the AT. Also easily to get to Blairsville & Helen for dinner.
We really enjoyed everything about this cabin! The kitchen was the best equipped we've had with staying in this area for years. Everything was comfortable and easy to access. Thomas was very responsive, even on Thanksgiving Day, when I locked us out of the cabin! Note: don't lock the knob when you leave because you won't be able to get back in without Thomas' help! It is a very peaceful property and we felt very welcome. Bonus is that Blood Mtn is just a few miles away for those wanting a fun hike nearby!
Great place, plenty of space for 4 people. I would highly recommend this place.
What a great little getaway cabin! We tried many months ago to rent in Vogel State Park where our friends were camping. When that didn’t work out I went on VRBO and I am so glad I did! The Blood Mountain Cove cabin was about 2.5 miles from them. It made it so easy to “run up the road” as often as we needed! The minute we walked inside it felt just like home! The fall decor was such a great touch! Little pumpkins were placed in just the right places to add the feeling of fall. The place is cozy, but has plenty of room to spread out in lots of areas. The back porch is perfect for drinking coffee or reading a book. The couches in the living room are very comfortable! The kitchen is awesome! I cooked way more than I thought I would and I had everything I needed! Very well stocked! The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms spacious. The days we were there it was chilly for these Florida folks, but the heater worked very well and the fireplace was a bonus! Our host was so kind and always got back to us quickly if we had a question. He even let us know the power had gone out ( mountain rain storm) while we were away one day and let us know when it came back on. When we did return the cabin was warm and welcoming! The driveway was a little scary at first, but we got used to it and had no problems going up or down. I really can’t say enough about how comfortable and clean this cabin is! You can’t ask for a better host either! It is a great little find ! We will definitely want to come back again!
The cabin was lovely. The owner was extremely accommodating and so quick to respond to any questions we had. I would stay here again!
Quaint home in rustic setting. The sound of the waterfall is relaxing but mid day the motor cycles can get very loud also. We used the cabin mainly mornings and evenings so not much of a problem. In miles it is close to several wineries. The drive is winding so time to wineries takes longer. It is a fun drive. More towel, wash clothes and dishcloths are needed. 4 adults were on this trip. This was good because until it is completely renovated there are some areas outside that may present some concerns. Owner is really nice. Timely reply’s to any text matter.
There is very little I would change about the time I had at this gorgeous cabin and property! The locks on the bathroom upstairs are a little confusing, but as long as you are knocking before entering you have nothing to worry about. ? The shower water wasn’t quite as warm as we would have liked at times, but warm enough for a comfortable shower. The deck had some soft spots you should avoid, but it is an amazing place to sit, relax and enjoy the beauty that surrounds the cabin! Bring extra towels, paper products, and trash bags if you are staying for an extended time. No washer and dryer in the cabin, but Vogel State Park has a wonderful laundromat. You can enjoy the park whilst waiting on your laundry. ? The creek was absolutely GORGEOUS! It was by far my favorite part of the property. You can hear it well from inside with the windows open, and on the deck. It isn’t easy to access the creek, but if you take a little hike to see it, it’s definitely worth it! We enjoyed several nights around the fire pit roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. The host quickly answered any questions and was extremely accommodating. ❤️ I highly recommend staying here, it’s a wonderful experience!
Excellent host. Relaxing sound of nearby stream. Lots of tall beautiful hardwood trees to shade the house.. Enjoyed our stay.
Host answered all our questions very quickly.. Cabin was clean. Beds were comfy. Kitchen well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. There is no cell service but there is wifi. We had a great stay!
