NEW Spectacular Modern Retreat -The Fika House-Lux

Definitely one of the best places we’ve stayed! The house was very spacious and even after having 9 guests we still had two extra rooms. Really enjoyed our stay at this house and will try and book in the future!

It was wonderful.

EVERYTHING. The house was beautiful and perfectly stocked with EVERYTHING you need. The location was so close to EVERYTHING but still isolated enough. Mari was absolutely wonderful to work with. We love the Fika House and will be back!!!

The host was very nice and offered to be accommodating when we checked in and the house was in big need of a deep clean. I just encouraged the owner (with pictures he asked me to send confirming my findings) to please pass on to the cleaner as many just routine maintenance things had not been addressed. We declined to have the cleaners come back as we had a small window of time to be there and having them come back would have earned several hours into the time we had already paid to be in the house. All in all, this home is adequate, but could use some refreshing and restocking of items it showed were there (ie. cookie sheets). Towels and such could use a refresh as well as they smelled moldy. The home has great bones and floor space, the games on site (shuffleboard especially) and the back porch space was fantastic! The hot tub did not appear to have been drained and cleaned in a while and that was a bit of a disappointment, but we made it all work and had a great time. Again, the bones are good, just time for a serious deep clean and a refresh! We declined the cleaner coming back (as I stated earlier) because we checked in at the stated check in time and that is when we discovered the needs for major cleaning. We elected to just pass on the pics and info and not lose time we had paid for having someone in the house cleaning while we were there to relax.

We had such a great stay at Fika House. The place is beautiful and thoughtfully set up with everything you could need. The kitchen is especially well equipped with plenty of appliances, which made cooking and settling in super easy. The surrounding views are stunning and really add to the whole experience. It’s the kind of place that feels comfortable, relaxing, and well cared for. We’d absolutely stay here again.

Our group of 7 stayed 4 nights at Fika House. I cannot say enough about the cleanliness of the property, as it was spotless. Communication with Mariko, the host, could not have been better. She was friendly, welcoming, and responsive. Having the shuffle board, video game, hot tub, and outside games were a plus. The patio fireplace was enjoyed by some despite the cold weather. The property provided a cozy living space to gather around the indoor fireplace for long visits and games. The kitchen is beautiful and convenient. Having a private bathroom for each bedroom is great. We awoke to seeing 5 deer walking through the front yard. The large windows provide beautiful views of nature. We would love to return to Fika House someday!

We enjoyed our stay at the Fika house. The location is good with easy access to town and the neighborhood is quiet. The kitchen is pretty well stocked, only missing a large frying pan. We enjoyed the deck area as well as the gas fireplaces and shuffleboard table. The hot tub had a musty smell to it, which was disappointing and made me not want to use it. The host was great with communication and informed me there had been a water issue in Broken Bow that was the cause for the smell. The swing frame was damaged and unusable which was disappointing to our 4 year old. The office room worked good for the baby’s room and not having a tub wasn’t a problem since the kitchen sink is large enough to bathe a baby.

We loved our stay at the Fika house! Property was just as it looked in pictures, everything was labeled perfectly for ease of use and plenty of kid friendly items to make our stay comfortable. The road to the house is paved which was awesome. Owners responded promptly leading up to our stay. Would stay here again!!

We loved everything about this property! Everything was clean and beautiful, we even got to see a bunch of deer around the property! It was close to everything we wanted to do with our kids! And when it was time to leave we all wanted to stay even longer!

The cabin was great but it rained twi of the days and cold the one of those days but in all it was good.

Amazing place to stay!!!

Great house in secluded wooded area. Nice patio and very relaxing. I would recommend bringing charcoal, however. They had both a gas and a charcoals grill, but the gas grill was only at the front due to grates being rusted through. Other than that small thing- great property and owner communicated very well with us.

We loved everything about this property and it was close to all of our favorite spots! The paved roads made pulling the boat easy. The host responded quickly to any needs. The cabin was clean and beautiful!

We had a blast spending Spring Break in the woods. We felt the accommodations were exactly as they were described in the listing and everyone had a blast.

Beautiful and fun house for a girls trip.

We loved everything about this stay! Every family has their own privacy in their suit and the kids were entertained with the upstairs double bunk suit. Great area and close to everything in town. We loved it!! We would definitely choose this place again.

The Fika House has every thing you could hope for in a home! Beautiful - clean - plenty of space - covered porch - firepit - great location - super kind and helpful hosts. Check Check Check! We had 4 couples and we weren't crowded at all. Suggestions for area - Grateful Head Pizza, The Tasting Room and Market 259 (upscale market for wine/beer, coffee, bakery, deli, grocery items. But leave plenty of time for just hanging out at the house!

Had a girls getaway here. The property is very cute and clean and was just as advertised! Hot tub was amazing in a chilly evening. Beds were very comfortable! Would definitely recommend! The house is fairly new so part of the roads to get there aren’t paved, they are rock/dirt and a little rough. Wouldn’t affect my choice to stay here however!

This house and property are beautiful. I was with a group of 9 family members for a reunion. I think we could have spent the entire trip hanging out on the back deck. It was so comfortable with the sectional and plenty of seating, the fireplace, and hot tub. We didn't watch much tv, but it made the deck feel homey, too. The front porch was a quieter place to sit alone and read. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable. We had adults sleeping in the bunk room and we loved those beds, too. This was a great house with a lot of amenities. The owner was very communicative and easy to work with. We definitely recommend The Fika House!

Loved that the house was big enough for the whole family!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, beautiful, and provided a relaxing atmosphere for our family. The kids especially had a great time. The only minor issue was that the water pressure in the bathroom was a bit low, but overall, it didn’t take away from our enjoyable experience. Would definitely stay again!

We are members of the Christian Motorcycle Association North Dallas Fast Ln.. We love staying at your place. Easy to get in and out of. We had a great time riding motorcycles through the beavers bend area. Coming back to the cabin was a blessing! Great job!

Cabin was very clean and everyone loved the modern interior. Only downside is the AC wouldn't drop during the day, so the living room was a little bit hot. Rooms have separate AC unit and stayed cool. Communication was very smooth and quick with the property owner, and all questions answered very thoroughly. We would stay here again and again!!

The house was perfect for our family and it is beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, patio area and games. We used the kitchen and it had everything we needed. Bedrooms were nice and roomy and beds were comfortable. If we are ever in the area we would definitely stay here again.
