We liked the property and the location. It was secluded near the woods and very quiet. We were a little disappointed that we did not hear from the host until four hours from check-in and that was after I had reached out. Once we were in touch, the host was easy to communicate with. Our biggest disappointment was that there was no potable water at the cabin, and we were not aware of this until our first communication four hours before our arrival. When we arrived, there were six bottles of water, and we assumed we would be given more the next day as we went through those six quickly with drinking and coffee. We contacted the host and she said she could get some for us, but it wouldn't be until later that evening. Because of that, we just got our own water. There was plenty of water for bathing, but we just didn't feel comfortable cooking without potable water. We rechecked the listing to see if that was indicated but did not see that it was. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. The cabin was nice, the host was available during our stay, and we enjoyed the interaction with the pets. We did have trouble with cell phones, but we knew that going in and were ok with it.
This is a perfect place to relax and disconnect. The cabin is very miticulous kept and perfect for relaxation. I'd recommend this for anyone visiting the Franklin or Nashville area.
This cabin is exactly as shown. It is very comfortable with full kitchen and washer and dryer. The bed is the most comfortable I have slept in providing restful sleep. Sitting on the large front deck listening and watching the rain was so relaxing. We loved it so much we extended our stay. We hated to leave but We will return soon.
Great cabin to relax and not too far from Franklin TN.Plenty to do in area and no worries at all.
What a great extended weekend stay we had at this cabin. First, it is absolutely spotless! It has so many cute and interesting decorations all throughout the cabin to check out and not one spec of dust. We felt comfortable and at home immediately. There are so many extra touches that make this cabin special like the to-go cups, every kitchen tool you might need, blankets on the rockers on the cute porch, fresh eggs, top quality towels, books, games, super comfy bed and the list goes on and on...We hiked along the ridge for hours and saw cool waterfalls and lots of wildlife. I even read some of the Irish Short Stories in one of the books! One of the days we went into the near-by towns of Leipers Fork for some shopping and then to Franklin for dinner. Both towns are very close by and are each so cool and different in their own way. The cabin is placed in the perfect place for enjoying nature but close to towns if you'd like some city life. My husband was so excited to meet the resident dogs who protect the chickens and I almost thought we were going to have to go looking for them. Lol! But, eventually Bowie came by and we visited with him several times after that throughout our stay. He can shake both paws and loves the treats the hosts leave for you to share with him. We truly loved his visits and he loved the ear scratches we gave him. He's such a good boy! We look forward to coming back and continuing our adventures at The Cabin@Natchez Hideaway!
We loved the cabin and the property. The woods were so beautiful and the cabin had so much character. We were able to unplug and spend some time together as a family.
The Cabin at Natchez Hideaway provided us with a wonderful long weekend getaway in an idyllic and beautiful Nature setting. There is a serene feeling as soon as you go up the drive and enter such a masterfully built cabin. The wide front porch with its comfortable rockers is the place to be of an early morning or late evening with birds chirping and a peacefulness you can enjoy with a hot cup of coffee or a brew. As you go into the Cabin, you’re taken back to times reminiscent of many of the beautiful antiques; the “homey” touches give you warm and cozy feelings of home - they make you smile. Overall, the decorating and providing many amenities of each area (kitchen, bathroom, living room/bedroom and gathering room) was truly well-thought out to provide comfort and meet every need you may have. The Host, Molly, was the Best. A truly 5 Star little gem in TN. We hope to return to Cabin at Natchez Hideaway soon. TY Bob and Pam
We loved our week-long stay at the cabin—especially sitting on the porch swing and rocking chairs in the morning. The cabin has all the amenities needed, although, as mentioned in the listing, WI-FI is spotty at best. We plan to return here again and greatly enjoyed the tranquil setting. Two suggestions to improve the guest experience: Add an outlet and fan to the bathroom.
The charming little cabin is perfect for a get away. Close enough to Franklin to enjoy the sites and sounds of the town, but return in the evening to a perfect place to just relax and enjoy nature. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything that you could ever need. My husband enjoyed our weekend stay very much.
Exactly what I needed, and more. Joel and Molly are excellent hosts.
Our experience was not pleasant, unfortunately. The rental process itself was fine, the directions on point. The pics were accurate. The listing mentions the dog, but fails to mention that he barks about every 15 minutes throughout the night. Owner wondered where he was, but didn’t bother to retrieve him from the cabin porch. You can’t drink the water, so if you think you need more than a couple 16 ounce bottles during your stay, be sure to take your own. I’d you want to sit and relax, I don’t know how you will do that because the sparse furniture is uncomfortable. You’ll also have to watch YouTube to figure out the TV setup, and watching YouTube with no internet service is an interesting effort. We never got it to work. Seems like the owners are trying to have this place be remote, but with modern conveniences, and it’s not working out well. The light switch was in the floor when we got there. The experience was an unexpected disappointment from the moment we got there. Our 1 night of no sleep cost us over $600 because we left the next morning.
