Muir’s Retreat is a pet-friendly, architecturally unique cabin tucked deep in the pines of the Red River Gorge, just minutes from the iconic Nada Tunnel and some of the Gorge’s best hiking. Designed for privacy and connection with nature, this cozy escape features two lofted queen sleeping spaces, a private hot tub, secluded fire pit, covered porch, and stunning clifflined views—perfect for recharging, relaxing, and exploring.



The Space:
>Nestled in the heart of the Red River Gorge near the iconic Nada Tunnel, Muir’s Retreat is a thoughtfully designed tiny cabin that maximizes comfort while embracing the beauty of its natural surroundings.



The cabin features two lofted sleeping areas, one on each side of the space. Each loft includes a queen bed, wall-mounted fan, and curtains for privacy. Both lofts are accessed by ship ladders, adding to the charm and adventure of the tiny-home experience.



On the main level, the layout is simple and efficient. Beneath one loft is the kitchen area, equipped with a mini fridge, two portable electric burners, microwave, toaster, and basic cookware. Please note there is no oven or dishwasher.



The living area sits at the center of the cabin and includes a cozy couch and coffee table, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the Gorge. Beneath the opposite loft is a full bathroom, offering all the essentials in a comfortable, well-designed space.



Outside, enjoy a large covered porch, an overlook swing facing the clifflines, a private hot tub, and a secluded fire pit—ideal for soaking in the views, stargazing, or unwinding in total privacy. Whether rain or shine, Muir’s Retreat offers a peaceful escape designed to help you disconnect and recharge

Within the Twin Arch neighborhood right off the 715 Loop road which goes around the scenic drive.

•Each cabin is unique to specific items they include, however, RRG Getaways supplies the listed items below at all cabins as a baseline for guests. A starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.



•Muirs Retreat is located in the Twin Arch development! Locate just 6 minutes from Exit 33 in Slade KY. There are several other cabins up in this neighborhood. There is private parking at the cabin.

•Pets are allowed at this cabin. We charge a flat pet fee of $50 for up to two pets. Please be sure to add any pets to your reservation. If you do not see where to do so, reach out to us so we can apply our pet fee.

•Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) are provided.

•The walk from the parking area to the cabin is a little steep, use caution and understand this may be limiting for some people.

•There is a very STEEP road that takes you up to the cabin. The steepest section is paved and therefore all vehicle types can reach this cabin (4wd not required). Icy conditions will make this road challenging to navigate.
