The place was great, exactly as advertised. Nice location right by Graham's and Chair 9. Easy drive up to Mt Baker. We had a great stay here.
We really enjoyed our stay - the place was spotless and the bedrooms were comfortable. It was a great location for our day trips and the hot tub was a nice feature to end our days. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty at times but otherwise everything was terrific.
Nice ultra clean place with hard floors on the ground level and carpets on the top. Dogs are restricted to the ground level. Owners were very accommodating to our group with 3 dogs. The hot tub was the best.
We enjoyed four nights here and had a great time!
Excellent location and property. Had all the amenities and a great host. Will be our go-to spot for future Mt. Baker adventures.
Was what you’d expect. Clean, tidy, nice and tucked away. Traveling anywhere was a bit of a pain as it’s about 20 minutes to or from the nearest store or Mt.baker. Overall was a very nice lil get away for me and my mom.
Convenient location, 30 mins to Mt. Baker Ski Lodge. Kitchen was well stocked, loved having the hot tub to soak in after a day on the mountain. It was a tight fit with 6 adults and 2 kids but we made it work and had a lot of fun! Communication with Marcel was great, gave all the details we needed ahead of time regarding check in/check out. Would definitely recommend
The house is just like the pictures, clean and so comfortable. The kitchen is well equiped, the gas fireplace is cozy, the hot tub is nicely set on the deck, beds so comfortable. Our host Marcel was quick to respond to questions, and we felt well taken care of. We would love to return anytime!
The cabin was a lovely stay, with all the amenities needed. Great location with easy access to the mountains. We really enjoyed our stay here!
• Listing showed AC, but only had a portable AC that barely cools one room, was not set up, and the fixtures to put into a window were broken. • The yard had a strong odor of urine/septic. We couldn’t sit outside. • The freezer leaks water constantly • Smells on carpet/bed like body odor/feet in first floor. Sheets smelled the same. we had to wash sheets in all rooms. • Had to wash all of the outdoor furniture. Nothing was ready for our arrival. • Lots of dust, spider webs, dead bugs, etc on table, counter tops, bathroom sink and shower. We had to clean it. • Based on lack of cleanliness throughout, and strong septic odor in yard, we didn’t trust the hot tub. Never got to use it. • Sliding glass door doesn’t lock. • Screen door was off when we arrived. We tried to put it back on but continues to fall off. • Advertised as having a fenced yard but the fence is not complete around the yard. Note the fence cuts into horseshoes so though that was advertised as available, it also couldn’t be used. • Outdoor furniture is very different than advertised- not enough space for number of people. • Space is very small and furniture too big for the space. Had to move the couch to open the bedroom door, for example. Ad says has a blow up queen air mattress but there is not a big enough space to put it out. Couldn’t use, and 2 people ended up having to share a bed. • Kitchen table not as depicted- chairs are too big and heavy to move. • Keurig machine in photos is not available • a lengthy list of rules, terms, and conditions was sent the day of and only 5 hours prior to check-in and if we didn’t agree, we can’t check in. These should be disclosed in advance prior to booking. Most are pretty standard rules but people should still have the opportunity to read and agree prior to booking. Includes rule that dogs can’t be on carpeted area or upstairs so this requires them not to be in bedrooms. We ended up having to tether them in the living room in order to comply. Overall, we wouldn’t have stayed had we known these things in advance. Photos need to be updated and we felt deceived by the descriptions.
Great cabin in the woods to be home base for our week long stay in northern Washington. Great location to explore Mt Baker-Snoqualamie Natl Forest and 90 min from the entrance to North Cascades but an easy drive. Wonderful location, remote, and off the grid. just what we needed. The owner was super responsive and the home had all that we could have needed for a great week. We would love to come back!
We had one major issue with the property: advertised as having AC, but only had one small portable AC in an upstairs bedroom. After we brought this up to the owner, he apologized, refunded us some money, and adjusted the listing. He was very courteous about it. Knowing this house doesn’t have AC, I will say it’s overpriced. It’s a very nice house, good finishes, but I would not pay over $300 a night for it. Spacious (mostly fenced, but not totally) yard. Wifi was good. Nice location, close to Artist point. The main other drawback is the living area is small. It’s tight. We couldn’t even walk from the door to the kitchen carrying our cooler, we had to turn and shuffle between the couch and wall. Lastly, only part of the house is pet friendly, the upstairs is not. We appreciate the owner’s responsiveness, in addressing our concerns during our stay.
Easy key pick up in Glacier and as close as you can get to the end of highway 542. We are from Florida, so it was extra special for my kids to be able to play in snow. All of the trials were still closed of course, but it was all about snow. Well maintained hwy up to ski lodge. Hiked lower elevation trials in Glacier and nearby. Two great places to eat in Glacier, the Heliotrope and Wake N'Bakery.
We rented the cabin with another family and had 4 young children with us. The yard and yard games were great for the kids, and the kitchen was very well stocked, but overall the house was quite tight. The bedroom pictures are pretty misleading as the 2 non main bedrooms barely fit a bed. Would work fine for adult couples or older kids but was not ideal for pack n plays. Also the width of the rails on the 2nd floor made us nervous, as well as the lack of railing around the deck. We were also really looking forward to the lounge furniture and the shade over the deck but no cushions were included and no shade was hung. Overall felt the listing was a bit misleading. We happened to stay during a really hot weekend and sleeping was almost unbearable upstairs with no AC and just fans. There is a portable AC unit but it was too loud to run while sleeping.
