Why a cabin…
If you want to make your getaway a real getaway then you have to pick a place to really, actually get away from the crowds! Staying in a stuffy hotel room is for the birds. Take in our surrounding 3 acres of wilderness while you enjoy the comforts of a home.
If you are traveling with a pet: We do allow pets.
PLEASE do not leave your pet loose in our home while you are out!
YES, We have a coffee maker in our fully equipped kitchen for you! It brews k-cup and traditional pots!
Yonah Mountain is a unique landmark. With its rare baled face, Yonah provides world-renowned rock wall climbing with no fee for expert climbers. Heck, the US Army uses this mountain to train their Rangers for rock repelling, rope, and free climbing. There is a public trail from the base that you could hike up the entire mountain by foot. If you stay here at Huckleberry cabin, you will be on the only private road access to the top! (hint hint) From the parking area and rustic bathrooms near the summit, you can walk the trails to amazing views from each direction as Yonah mountain stands tall alone from the range.

The property was generally fine. However, we did not receive by email the lockbox code for the house so there was a delay of 30 mins while I contacted the owner and agent after we arrived. The house is advertised as 3 bedrooms with a king bed, queen bed, and 2 twin beds. The house actually has 3 bedrooms with a king bed, a full bed, and 1 twin bed. Fortunately, we only had 5 people so had enough bed space with people sharing beds, but this was false advertising on the agent and owner's part and should be changed on the VRBO site. The photos on the website are taken of only 1.5 of the bedrooms. The hot tub had no chemical treatment. The water was not clear and had bits of algae floating in it. We were disappointed to not be able to use it.
Spent bringing in the New Year with my significant other and some friends. It was a relaxing time. The cabin was very clean and everything worked well.
My family and I enjoyed staying at The Cozy Cabin for Christmas. It was unusually cold, but we stayed warm and enjoyed our stay. Greg was helpful and always responsive to questions. We had a great time!
Enjoyed stay only complaint was the steep stairs from the house to the parking area. Not very good for people who have any mobility issues. Definitely not for the handicapped. Was hoping to see some snow but not after I got there roads are not passable with any snow and steep steps would not work out.
We truly enjoyed our family trip at this cabin. We had some bumps (lost electric for about 5 hrs one evening due to a fallen tree somewhere in the area and had a water leak from the AC down stairs in the utility room when we first arrived on Saturday that wasn’t able to be fixed due to being Labor Day weekend until the following Wednesday afternoon, and a couple other small things) these were just bumps as I said, things happen beyond one’s control so was nothing that ruined our vacation, we just worked with it. The Property manager:Toni was great and kept up with us in communication during our stay and was very receptive and helpful ? The beds were comfortable, cabin was clean, back porch view was beautiful, location was great close to Helen and everything we needed, the driveway is fine by the way other reviews had me a little worried about it but know it is nicely paved and looks steeper then it is, my car is pretty low to the ground and I had no problems at all.
We had a great stay.
We absolutely loved our stay. Kids loved the play room and very nice place.
The cabin is very secluded and a nice peaceful place to get some R&R.
We felt comfortable and relaxed in this lovely cabin. The beds are comfortable, morning light was just right for a little sleeping in, the openness of the kitchen and living areas made it feel homey and inclusive while we were cooking in the kitchen or the grill, and there were just enough of the right tools to make everything we planned. We ate at the table together, watched movies together, and used the hot tub once (had some stormy evenings) together. It really was a great place to enjoy each other’s company. It was quiet all but one night (I was 25 once too, so I get a night of happy neighbors) and we just listened to the cicadas. The fireplace was awesome, too! I know not everyone enjoys fire in the summer, but I love watching movies with a fire going. AC worked so well we had to turn it up (which was kinda nice with the fire). Altogether we had a great stay for the whole week and would love to revisit in the future. Thank you!!
The area was beautiful. Enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings and making memories with the kids.
Very comfortable, relaxing accommodation. Communication with Greg was excellent and easy. I would recommend this place to anyone. Can't say enough good things.
