Moonlight shores lakefront property was a lovely place to have a holiday, very spacious, comfortable atmosphere, and scenic view. Despite being near capacity at 5 people during our trip we all fit comfortably. The trash situation was a little inconvenient because there were no outside bins, however the allotted dumpster was only a few minutes away by car and easily accessible. The view of the lake alone was worth the hassle, not to mention the hot tub. Great experience, highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time The cabin and location was beautiful. We thought we would be hot with no AC but there was a nice afternoon breeze out on the deck. Very comfortable .

Cabin was nice. It was comfortable the view of the lake was amazing! The spa had issues the length of our stay and only worked after second technician was dispatched. Sliding glass door didn't lock. And one of the windows had a latch that was broken so couldn't open to let air flow. Would be nice if there were ceiling fans since there is no ac. They were not kidding about a steep driveway! And very narrow. I wouldn't recommend for a large pickup or suv. It is right off hwy 38 kinda sketchy to try backing out on to with traffic!

Well, the property is in a very quiet area and close to the lake, but they are some things that made our stay a little bit uncomfortable. 1. No curtains on the windows. I get it, it has a gorgeous views of the lake and the mountains, but wake up with the sunlight directly on your face and cook and eat breakfast on a very sunny and hot cabin was very uncomfortable. Only the bedroom downstairs has blackout curtains, which we used when we felt like sleeping in. 2. Old cabin. Everything in the cabin is old or is missing. Old dishwasher, washing and drying machines, coffee maker. No microwave. 3. Beds and pillows. One bed upstairs was uneven making sleeping impossible. The pillows are so hard that I woke up with pain on my neck.4. Some dishes were dirty inside the cabinet, and they don't offer extra paper towels.5. Cleaning. We paid a lot to be in that cabin, but we had to leave everything clean for the next guest, and the trash must be taken to their office containers. The only good thing about the cabin is the location and the hot tub, but I think we could find that in a more affordable and upgraded home.

The cabin itself, Moonlight Shores Lakefront, is beautiful and well-located with an amazing view of the lake. We appreciated that Big Bear Cool Cabins allowed us to check in an hour early, which was a nice gesture. The cabin was equipped with a drip coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator, which were convenient for our stay. However, there were several significant issues that made our stay less enjoyable. The hot tub, which was one of the main reasons we chose this cabin, did not work for half of our stay. Not being able to use it was a huge disappointment and felt like money wasted, as I would not have paid for a cabin with a hot tub had I known it wouldn't be functional. Another concern was the lack of air conditioning. While this wasn't entirely unexpected, it became a problem due to the fact that the sliding patio door didn't have a lock. We had to keep the windows closed whenever we left the cabin to secure our belongings, which made the cabin unbearably hot during the day. This significantly impacted our ability to enjoy our time there. We were also promised a free fruit basket as part of our booking, but this was not provided. The website even mentioned the promotion during checkout, yet no basket was there when we arrived. Furthermore, there were no promotional codes on the website to allow us to apply at check out. We assumed it was just part of the package, since it was in the title. While we did receive an extended stay as compensation, it felt rather pointless given the other issues we encountered. Lastly, the internet service was very poor. While we were there to enjoy the outdoors, it would have been nice to wind down at night with a movie. Unfortunately, the unreliable internet made streaming almost impossible. Overall, while the location and the cabin itself have great potential, these issues left us feeling frustrated and disappointed. We expected more from our stay, especially given the cost and the expectations set by the amenities offered.

My son and I took a week long trip to Big Bear and took a chance with this cabin on VRBO. We looked at several properties before choosing this one and we were beyond happy with our stay. The cabin is on the quiet side of the lake in Fawnskin and has the most beautiful and breath taking views day and night of the lake. The deck was our favorite place to sit and eat, talk and enjoy the view. We watched the ducks swim and the fish jump. We rented a boat and went fishing right down the way from the cabin. Beds were comfortable and the couch was relaxing with lake views. It was Clean and had everything we needed to have an amazing and relaxing time out. If they ever decided to sell the cabin, I want first right of refusal. ?. We will absolutely be back for many years to come. The property management company was on point and very responsive. Love it!

My husband and I enjoyed a four-night stay at the Moonlight Shores cabin. The cabin sits up a bit on the hill, which allows for amazing views of Big Bear Lake from the front deck. The cabin was well appointed - had everything we could have needed and was just as described. The pictures say it all. Perhaps because the cabin is on the less busy side (North Shore) of the lake, we had much privacy, peace and quiet. We had trouble (user-error) with the hot tub settings and the mgnt sent someone out to help us out. They were very responsive. We enjoyed our stay very much and definitely planning to return for a longer stay!

The large windows on the front of the cabin really make this place what it is. It was our second stay there. Clean, spacious, and the area is very quiet on the north side of the lake. Also, walking distance to North Shore Landing if you're intending to rent a boat to go on the lake. Lastly the patio deck is very large and has a fantastic view of the lake as well as just laying out on a warm night to stargaze. Overall, a very nice place and reasonably priced.

We arrived early and were told we could check in, showed up to a car parked in the driveway and someone still inside. The only thing amazing was the outside deck. Views were nice but it’s right off the busy highway. It’s on a very steep hill so if you have trouble walking I’d stay elsewhere. The house was extremely hot, no ac !!!! House was 87 degrees even at 10 pm. Only had 2 small fans. The other big issue was the smoke alarm went off at 2am till 6:30 am,was up 30 ft high so had to wait till maintenance came. You would think for paying 3k, that management would have offered a discount for the inconvenience. They only offered a percentage discount for a future stay. Big Bear Cool Cabins dropped the ball, and I will never stay with any properties they manage. When you book on Vrbo which is a third party big bear cool cabins manages the bookings. They also require you to send a picture of the card used and your pic id via email after you book. Just weird. The property is on the other side of the lake away from shopping and the Village bout 15 minute drive.
