My family had such a great time at this cabin. It was plenty big for the 11 of us to sleep comfortably and spread out. The family room was big and warm with the wood burning fireplace in the corner. The kitchen’s had everything we needed. We also loved the maps of walking trails that start out right at the cabin. It was a great trip. Our only wish would be for some snow next time.
We met up half way from our home in the Bay Area and family who live in Bend Oregon. Perfect house for two families as we could use both units.Beautiful trails surrounding, but not too far off beaten track.
If you're looking for a cabin in the woods - clean, comfortable, stunning views of Mt. Shasta from the living room, look no further. Only downside, dirt/gravel road means you'll have a very dirty car when your vacation is done. Well worth it.
My favorite aspect of this property is its isolation. You can't see your neighbors and they can't see you. One of the porches and living rooms has a great view of mount shasta. The road to the cabin is fragile. Driving 10mph will frustrate some people since you're probably already driving long distance to get here. But, pot holes exist because of people driving +20mph on it. The cabin is also huge. I would stay here again. A+
The property was excellent! A few minutes off the main road and away from town but everything else was excellent. The property manager was excellent!
We have been visiting mount shasta multiple times and this house with the most amazing view has special place in our heart. Everything was great, amazing view, location, neighborhood. There are huge, comfortable beds, a lot of clean new silver ware. There are a lor doors, which allows to breathe fresh air. It surrounded by forrest, where we would walk, super quiet and everything is close by. Totally recommend it.
We have enjoyed so much our stay at this beautiful. There is a view to Mount Shasta from the pation. House surrounded by the forrest. The owner was always in touch. Everything was so clean, a lot of silverware. We would definitely come back.
My husband and I really enjoyed this property. The views of Mt. Shasta are stunning and the house is well-placed to enjoy the natural landscape. Our dogs especially enjoyed the remote location and privacy. The house is well-equipped for a long-term stay with a reasonably sized family. The second kitchen on the north side of the house was less useful; during our stay the refrigerator at that end of the house was broken. If you were staying with multiple families, that could be a barrier. The bathrooms were well-appointed with a good number of linens. Laundry capabilities were provided (detergent and softener). The only upgrade I would suggest in the King en-suite bathroom would be a new hand-held showerhead that could have a higher level of water pressure. We definitely enjoyed our stay and intend to come back!
We had a lovely stay. The cabin was clean and spacious. The location was beautiful. We felt like we were in our own winter wonderland. The kids didn't even want to leave to go skiing at the nearby resort because they were having so much fun sledding right there on the property. Highly recommend, and we would love to rent again.
The listing has since been updated to be more clear, but the unit in the house we were put in did not match what we had reserved. We would not have rented a place without two rooms due to having an infant with us, and we would not have chosen the unit we were placed in at the cost we paid. Both my friend and I looked over the listing before choosing it and it did not match what we received. The property manager was responsive by phone but stated there wasn't anything to be done. The property and location is beautiful and will be an amazing place to stay in renting the whole house. Otherwise, I would not recommend it.
