Greer, Arizona
Why is this Cabin so Popular It's the Pure Authenticity & Rustic Turn of the Century Charm Historical construction that is rare in these Modern Times (Sleeps 4 ) This is a rustic cabin that sits in the meadow in the heart of Greer. Rustic on the outside and cute on the inside & WOW views from the deck! Has a kitchen, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom -shower only. There is no living room, but a little sitting area by the door. Instead of sitting inside, have a seat outside on the deck and enjoy the views. *** Please Remember, all of our cabins are Non-Smoking!
We booked a small quaint cabin, but had to switch to a larger cabin on the outskirts of town. The place we chose had a wasp nest in the kitchen and the water throughout was brown/copper colored. The company was accommodating and quickly found another cabin, but not like the one we wanted.
The cabin we stayed in was very nice, clean. A bit small but it served our purpose.
Pros: moderately stocked kitchen, lots of light, nice deck with chairs, table with umbrella, and grill. Cons: It was a very windy weekend and the windows and door were not sealed well which made lots of noise and kept us awake; structure itself didn't feel secure; bed had 2 live spiders and other debris on sheets; water smelled like sulfur so we had to buy our on water. Overall: unless you are ready to rough it do not choose this cabin. Worth maybe $50/night.
We loved it here. Small but perfect for my wife and I. I would stay here again!
Fun trip. Everything worked great
No towels, had to go to springerville to buy towels. Needed to let the water run for a good 15 minutes to get the rust out of the pipes. The floors were dirty. The gas fitting for the propane grill leaked propane. Overall it was a great little cabin, but when they say rustic they mean it. We left coffee filters, there were none. Left some seasoning, coffee, trash bags, etc.
Cabins were in a great location. Only thing I found was that they are not kept up. I need to be remodeled or just fix some of the broken items. the porch has a lot of rotten wood and needs to be replaced. Location was great overseen the meadow of little Colorado River.
This cabin is located in the meadow on the west side of town, about 2/10s of a mile south of the Molly Butler, walking distance to The Rendevous. The deck is nice in the evening. Pros: good kitchen setup with electric stove, microwave, etc. Cons: sink in bathroom too small to get your hands under the faucet, cramped dining area. There were a few things that needed fixing--the refrigerator froze everything even at a low setting, the mirror in the bathroom was too high for me to see my face. But it was clean and the well located.
