Four Wheel Drive is Strongly Recommended In the Winter Months (late Dec.- Feb). If it's Snowing You Will Need a Four Wheel Drive Vehicle.
. ThE Driveway is EXTREMELY Steep. EXTREMELY! Upon arrival a little had issuekwitht key pads. Might be helpful to note the 1 on the door is the correct one. The property manager lives in FL. We ended having to call owner because he was non responsive at first.. 2ndly the TV were messed up. When we finally talked to PM, he wanted us to call DISH to trouble shoot, which is ridiculous. We had to replace the bathroom light bulb. The inside hottub doesnt workThis is not a new issue, because they had laminated signs taped up. We got it, that wanted us to start a load of towels before we left,, we didnt need 6 laminated signs. The house was clean, but it needs to be scrubbed. spider webs everywhere. The basement is TART and clealy had not be cleaned, in a while b/c there were beer cans and left over soda cans and cracker crumbs all over the floor. We woulve used a vacuum but there wasnt one. The deck was disgusting, weeds next to house overgrown. The hot tub was AMAZING. You need to wear shoes because boards are in bad shape. TRIP hazard on 2 boards which are dangerously sticking up. The fenced in yard is a bit deceiving of a statement. There is a chain link fence in the back, but its a more like a dog run. The kitchen is great. Everything you need.!!!! Bring ice the ice make is gross, as the water filter need to be replaced. We really liked the sapce. Food truck down the street is EPIC.
We loved the cabin and the property; it is great for easy access to Asheville and the Pisgah National Forest.
We had a group of 8 girls here for a long weekend getaway. We didn’t plan to leave the house much so we were so excited to get there and find out that the basement had all kinds of games, the kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need, there was a beautiful patio/hot tub area, and more. The host was very communicative and our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We rented the cabin for a post holiday family getaway. The property was great for our large group. I was a little disappointed that the cabin wasn't as nice in person as the ad would have led me to believe. The indoor jacuzzi was not working, the hot tub instructions were not good and I had to search to find them online, the dishwasher was not installed correctly so when you opened the shelves the bottom one rolled all the way out. The house also had lots
If you or your family are planning to stay at any of this company’s rentals beware or their shady businesses practices. My family and friends stayed here on a Christmas retreat. During our stay, we had merely a trickle of freezing cold water to shower with and a non-working hot tub, These things would not have been an issue had we been made aware ahead of time and prepared accordingly, but the listing never mentioned these things. In fact the main reason we booked this house was to enjoy the hot tub; however, we weren’t able to do so. Further, the coffee pot was dual functioning with a “pod” side and a carafe side. Being that we had so many people with us, we only used the carafe side not noticing that the “pod” side was not functioning until I was billed $175 to buy this property a new coffee pot - on Christmas Day no less. I suppose I could have complained about the water pressure and hot tub during our stay, but I am not that confrontational. It is highly frustrating though to have had these issues and then be hit with an additional bill upon our departure. I am only writing this review to make others aware so that they can take the necessary precautions to protect themselves before their stay. These people run a shady operation, renter beware.
We absolutely LOVED this cabin, and we had a great time! It had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving meal, and we prepared a real feast! It was my family of 4 (2 college students), my dad, and my brother’s family of 4 (2 small children), and our 10 pound Morkie. It was so spacious, and the pictures do not do it justice. The Christmas decorations made it even more beautiful and festive. We didn’t know what the game room would look like; it was awesome! We had family basketball, air hockey, and ping pong tournaments and made great memories. The fenced-in area was perfect for letting our dog out to go and run around. Thank you, Rebecca, for answering my many questions before we came. I hope we stay again someday!
Second year in a row staying at Magic Mountain and once again it did not disappoint. Already planning next years trip.
Every year our closest group of friends pick a destination to get together and reconnect. Our stay at Magic Mountain was perfect for our group with a spacious layout for everyone to have their own space. The porch was perfect for relaxing and we saw a lot of wildlife including deers, turkeys, hummingbirds and more. The cabin is tucked away and private surrounded by trees but close enough that traveling to near by activities was convenient and easy. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.
If you are looking for a get away in Asheville where you can disconnect from modern day interferences and have plenty of space to reconnect with your family this is the place for you. Even though it’s very spacious it has a cozy feel to it. Games and exercise equipment in basement for entertainment if not hitting the town and Only half an hour from downtown. We enjoyed our stay.
The home is beautiful no question. It does need some tlc. Front steps need replaced, entire staircase moves when walking up or down. (I weigh 170 pounds). The home allows pets which is great (we did not bring a pet with) but there were several left over dog bags in the enclosed yard area and we cleaned up dog poo in the basement. The most serious issue is mildew. The basement has a wonderful gym area but because it has such mildew was unusable by anyone allergic or sensitive to mildew. The blower for the ac unit is in the basement and blows mildew into the front bedroom.
Good Home in North Carolina with a game room and hot tub. The family really enjoyed the hot tub.
Everything was lovely. Only problem was with having water but a call to the owner had the property manager over right away to determine something was just unplugged and the problem was fixed!
Great location! We had a family celebration with those coming from Durham, Cincinnati, Denver, and Florida. We enjoyed everything about the cabin…comfortable sleeping arrangements for all ten adults and two children ages 7 and 4. Family dinner table large enough for all of us! Only challenge was the water pressure and temperature.
