Soak beneath a sky scattered with stars, tucked into your private hot tub as soft string lights glow around you and the treetops sway gently overhead. This is Canopy—your secluded Smoky Mountain escape, where it feels like a treehouse… just a little more luxurious.

Inside, the tent opens into a space that feels both airy and inviting, designed with a relaxed bohemian aesthetic—layered textiles, warm wood tones, and playful pops of color that feel both grounded and elevated. Settle into the cozy sitting area, sip your morning coffee by the French doors as the forest wakes up around you, or wind down with a movie as the sounds of nature drift in. Heat and AC keep things comfortable year-round.

The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to stay in and savor the moment, while the plush king bed invites deep, uninterrupted rest—screened windows letting in cool mountain air and the soft rhythm of the woods. Just steps away, the spa-like bathroom is designed for slowing down, with a soaking tub and a walk-in rain shower that turns even the simplest moments into something indulgent.

Outside, your expansive wraparound deck becomes its own experience. String lights glow softly overhead, the firepit crackles nearby, and your private hot tub waits under the stars. Perched high among the trees, it’s peaceful, elevated, and completely immersive—your own quiet world above the forest floor.

Located just minutes from the Deep Creek entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Bryson City, adventure is always within reach. Spend the day hiking to waterfalls, floating down the creek, or exploring at your own pace before returning to your private retreat in the trees.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. Hot tub and covered outdoor seating area were great for relaxing. Shower was amazing. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bed was super comfy. Lots of privacy while still being close to town.

My husband and I were looking at staying at the Canopy, but there was some kind of glitch and it disappeared from VRBO for a bit. I reached out to Jeanette and she replied very quickly that it was still available and sent me a direct link to book. It was everything we wanted for our anniversary trip. It was beautiful, secluded, cozy, and made our trip so memorable! We will hopefully be back at some point!

This is the nicest vacation home I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The property is gorgeous inside and out. The woodland view from the deck is beautiful. Amenities and furnishings are abundant and high-end. Plenty of towels and blankets. There are many fans and lights and two A/C units controlled by remote, allowing you to set the ambiance and temperature to any level. The kitchen is so well stocked and features a full-sized gas stove; we greatly enjoyed cooking two meals per day. Everything was impeccably clean. This unit is highly secluded; no other rental has a direct line of sight and traffic on the gravel road is light. It is 1 mile from the front door to the national park, which we walked to. We loved scavenging for dead wood around the property to have fires in the pit. There are countless fungi and insects we enjoyed meeting in the woods. The host was very responsive and friendly! Checkout process was so easy that we cleaned extra. I cannot recommend this unit strongly enough (along with any of the other tents & yurts which are part of Elk Hollow). If I am ever near Bryson City I won't hesitate to stay in one of these vacation homes!

Stayed July 2023 for four nights just to getaway with the wife. THE GOOD The place is extremely nice and the amenities are great. It was very comfortable and very clean. It is quiet and somewhat secluded. The host communicated promptly and clearly. The property is less than two miles from Deep Creek and the Deep Creek Park for tubing, fishing, etc. (very beautiful area) and just a few minutes from downtown Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountain Train. Before arriving I was worried about the drive up the mountain to the yurt. It looks a bit daunting, but I made it just fine with my two-wheel drive Tundra. THE NOT SO GOOD The yurt is nestled in the trees on the side of the mountain. When the foliage is in full bloom there is not a view of the surrounding mountains. We could barely see the mountains in the distant through some of the trees. It was somewhat disappointing because I was expecting a descent view based on the description provided. . We had no internet or tv service when we arrived, and we were not told we would have no service. The DirectTV guy showed up one morning to install the dish for the tv. We never got internet service. The Verizon cell reception was spotty at best. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend it and would stay there again.
