Pros - The communication with the property management company was great. They notified us of ahead of time concerning directions, check in procedures and local area information.Cons - The house was not furnished appropriately for the size of the house. There was no indoor dining room table and only 4 bar chairs around the island. None of the bedrooms had window dressings. The lack of curtains or blinds left no privacy for 5 of the bedrooms with a house just next door on that side of the house. In the main living room, there was only one couch and one chair. For the price we paid, this house didn't meet expectations.

The location was beautiful and spacious. We came up for a work retreat and there were enough beds for everyone to have a bed of their own. The living room was large enough for us to spread out and get down to business. As we finished our work for the day, it was nice to be able to cook, laugh on the porch, and relax. We would absolutely recommend this location again!

The best way to describe this house is its builder grade. It’s a beautiful house with great views but you can tell this is an investment house. There’s just no care for details. After reading other reviews we decided to give it a try anyway. Now I understand other people complaints. For the price you pay for this house it just doesn’t hit the mark. 1. No curtains on any windows. You’re at the top of a mountain with big wide open windows so all the neighbors can se you in the shower or bedroom. You feel a bit on display. 2. The house is infested with bugs. Like you had better to be ready to sleep with ladybugs in your bed. You will contact management and they will say they’ll send pest control but no one ever shows up. One morning I woke up with wasps in my room. My guess is there are huge builder gaps in the house that haven’t been closed allowing all kinds of “friends” to come inside for warmth. 3. When we got to the house at our 4 pm check in time cleaning crew had just arrived. Our check in was 2.5 hours delayed. We sat outside in our cars while they cleaned as it’s at the top of a steep mountain and we didn’t want to drive in the dark. The rental company did not offer any compensation for our delayed check in time. 4. The hot tub won’t be warm when you get there. After spending a day and a half warming it up the breaker tripped and wouldn’t stay on so it was unusable to whole trip. All in all this property just falls short. Would not stay here again.

This property is gorgeous and the view was absolutely stunning. It was perfect for 6 couples to meet and all be very comfortable. We all had a great weekend. Communication with the host was timely and responsive.That being said, just a few things that we were not expecting. The road is steep. Yes, they told us that, and yes, it’s on top of a mountain- but it is steep. We didn’t have any issues as we all drove four wheel drive. The ladybugs are everywhere. Really need to get that fixed as it just looks dirty as they collect in corners or die in a light fixture. Seating for all of us was not adequate and not having a dining room table was a little disappointing. Lastly, which we understand comes with a rental, but we were surprised at how many little things were broken and had not been fixed (toilet seat, cabinet door, the fireplace, etc..)

Overall, our stay (10 adults) was nice but overshadowed by many oversights + inconveniences. The house itself is gorgeous and the views are the best we’ve had. If the owner was willing to invest in more furniture + basic amenities we would recommend it to anyone. Furniture: - One major issue was the lack of curtains in the bedrooms, which compromised our privacy. - There was a shortage of couches and chairs both inside and outside, making it challenging for everyone to find comfortable seating. - Despite being assured of a dining table in our messages, they did not have one. - The bedrooms lacked hangers in the closet, and some bathrooms were without soap. Kitchen: - The kitchen lacked adequate glassware for adults, forcing us to drink our nice wine out of plastic cups. - We were told there was a charcoal grill, but upon arrival, we discovered a gas grill, which caused lost money on purchases coal. Fireplaces: - We were informed that the indoor fireplace couldn't be turned on two days early for our stay. - There was no mention of an outdoor fireplace when we inquired about a fire pit, causing us to miss out on enjoying it as we didn't bring firewood. Early Check-In: - I inquired about early check-in when booking, but I was told to ask 48 hours in advance. When I did, I was presented with a $75 an hour fee to add early check-in. This should have been mentioned upfront, and it felt in poor taste to charge extra for one hour when it costs the owners nothing.

This was the perfect space for a girls trip! The drive way was quite steep but other than that this space served us well.

I stayed over the weekend (12/31 - 01/02) with close friends and their families (including wives and young kids). We came in paying high dollars and expected a good stay per the pictures and description on the website. What we found was a place full of ladybugs, stains (probably blood) on quilts, dirty carpet in living area, dirty hot tub which spoilt our mood. Approach road to cabin is very steep with last few meters on gravel road which lead to skidding of tires, parking space is limited and it proved difficult to park 5 cars. To summarize our experience, we are very disappointed with our stay. Only positive is the location of the cabin which indeed provides spectacular views of blue ridge mountains.

We loved the house and views. We had a few disappointments that made our stay frustrating. When we first checked in, the previous renters trash was overflowing from the trash can. We were assured it would be picked up that night. It wasn't picked up until the next morning after a bear got into it. The toilet on the first level kept coming off the chain, so you had to open the lid to adjust each time you flushed. The upstairs level that contains the pool table and bedroom never got below 83 degrees during the day - making it difficult to enjoy. In the kitchen, there was no can opener, wine opener or large utensils or any kind. The tv's appeared to not have been set up yet. We could never connect. So overall, the views are amazing. The house needs tweaking.
