Great place to stay

The house was very comfortable, with plenty of room. The beds were comfortable. Everything needed for our stay was available. The host let us know ahead that the heating system was being worked on but the back up heat kept it nice and warm. Were conveniently close to town. Loved the big windows with a lot of light even on gloomy days.

The common area was a wonderful place for us to gather and visit.

Cabin was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed! We loved that the cabin was decorated for Christmas including a live Christmas Tree. Jesse was very communicative and responsive.

Lovely location and home. Hot tub was amazing for star gazing! We had a great stay!

Beautiful property. Convenient to Hwy 12 for exploring the area, but remote enough to have dark skies for gazing at the amazing stars and Milky Way from the hot tub and deck. Great house. Hit all the boxes for a family experience.

This is a very lovely property in a wonderful HOA neighborhood with beautiful walks available right out your front door! My husband really enjoyed the expansive yard big enough to practice his disc golfing in! :) It felt very private and just sitting on the deck was a joy! We loved how the out-of-doors is invited into every room with all the big windows! The kitchen was very well equipped with a large island, great refrigerator, and a gas stove. We enjoyed doing jig saw puzzles and playing games on the large kitchen table. Packwood and nearby nature is at your fingertips! Enjoy!

This is a beautiful cabin, with a sense of calm and relaxation. Our family truly enjoyed this big spacious home. If your in for a peaceful stay, this is your place.

The visiting elk around sunset were amazing. We loved stargazing from the hot tub after a family dinner at the big dining room table. Great location for hiking in the National Park and then coming here to relax!

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Packwood! It was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring Mt. Rainier National Park, and we really appreciated the convenience after long days of hiking and sightseeing. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

Great homebase for our Mount Rainier hiking excursions. There were deer and elk in the immediate neighborhood each morning at sunrise, a wonderful plus. The house was great, beds comfortable, everything clean - great stay. Thanks so much.

The house was an absolute dream. The fireplace was massive and beautiful. The setting was perfect at the base of Mt. Rainier. We came back from hiking to be greeted by 15 elk sitting in the front yard.

We had a wonderful stay! It is always fun when your family sees a home for the first time and says, Wow! We loved the sitting area with the giant windows. The home was very clean and comfortable (however, the bed upstairs was too soft for us, so we slept downstairs). It was a great base for exploring Mount Rainier NP. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect home base for exploring Mt. Rainier National Park! Fit three couples comfortably. Elk hung out on the big lawn. Indoor and outdoor areas perfect for enjoying a late evening or a lazy morning.

We loved our stay. This is a great cabin! Packwood is a cute little town, Close to the National Park and perfect for rest and relaxation

Prior to our stay we traveled across the Olympic Peninsula so we were hopping from hotel to hotel. It felt so nice to land in a home for a few days. The house was clean, cozy, and perfect for our short stay. We loved watching the elk graze in the yard on our first night while relaxing in the hot tub!

This home was spacious, centrally located and well stocked. Elk came into the front yard a few evenings, we enjoyed watching them from the large deck.

House was just as described. We had a little trouble with the hot tub and the owner was very responsive.

Just what my niece and I needed after 2 weeks land and sea Alaska. Also, the hot tub was great after hiking at Mt. Rainier. Could have used instructions on how to turn on surround sound speakers but all-in-all a relaxing stay. Thank you.

Overall the house was nice and the placement near Mt. Rainier was great. The inside was a bit dirty with cobwebs and dust. The furniture was old and uncomfortable. There were several holes in the outside flashing around the deck. We found a dead mouse in the sink and quite a few ants on the counter.

Really enjoyed the homey style of this property! A wonderfully kept yard and nice deck for hanging out, this place felt like a home away from home. The comfiest beds and lots of fans and heaters were provided if needed. We really appreciated the level of thought put into providing comfort, not just looking nice or modern.

WiFi password was incorrect. No internet.No close out sheet with procedures of clean up.

We booked your lovely home for a quick ski trip to White Pass. It was a great set up for two families and easy location just outside of Packwood. The only hiccup we encountered was the WiFi login name and password were different than provided in our check in material. Please update for future guests. We found the correct information on the physical router below the television. Also we could not get the dishwasher to work during our stay. Thank you again for sharing your lovely home with us!

This property is magical. Spent the weekend before Christmas with my family and cherished every moment. It’s a beautiful house and very quiet. The last day, a herd of 30 elk came into the yard. Very pleased.

Our stay went off without a hitch. The property was easy to find at night. The house was just as advertised and exceeded our expectations in person. The house was clean and well stocked and nicely decorated for the holiday season. We would definitely stay here again.

The residence was clean and the area was beautiful.

At 30 minutes from the Paradise entrance and 45 minutes from the Sunrise entrance, we were able to explore both sides of the park. The house was also located on a quite road with a park like setting. It could have used a deep clean as there were several cobwebs and. spiders in the bathroom. The hot tub also had quite a bit of dirt in it. Overall, we really enjoyed our s in it.

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was perfect for exploring the area. The elk came several times and that really was such a beautiful sight to see. Hot tub was an added bonus after hiking! Definitely recommend!!

The house was beautiful. Huge fireplace in the middle. One whole side of house was all glass. So bright. Only one TV. And Note king bed was the highest bed I ever seen. My friend is 5'8 and she struggled getting on. And I mean struggled. No Elk in backyard but saw them on way home from Packwood. Great location. Packwood downtown is only 5 min away from house. Good restaurants Breweries Gas and groceries. And so close to Mt Rainer. Wonderful stay. only deaw back was ki g bed.all all

After a small glitch that Jesse, property host, cleared remarkably well, the stay was exceptional. The property is great. The deck is the best, even when the elk don’t cooperate. Perfect location. Close to the mountain with quirky, Northern Exposure type of town. Got to be experienced.

Enjoyed staying at this cozy and comfortable retreat during our stay hiking the mountains. Enjoyed the hot tub after a long hike. All amenities provided. Very clean, quiet and fairly secluded but close enough to town. Never needed to contact host. All instructions provided via email.

Had a great stay at the cabin with my wife and 4 boys. We had plenty of room to spread out, and we enjoyed the large yard with lawn games and of course, hanging in the hot tub after a day hiking. Communication with the owner was fast and easy and other than wishing I could spend more days here, the entire stay was perfect.

We stayed at the Elk Trail Cabin with four adults and four kids and we had plenty of space. The home was clean on arrival and there are plenty of accommodations in the kitchen and baths plus washer dryer. The hot tub is a nice touch. Wonderful outdoor space - we have a family of elk swing through which was fun. Quiet area and easy access to town center and Rainier area outdoor action. Living room furniture is a bit on the worn side, but it worked. the outdoor grill was a no-go with the grease buildup, so we skipped using it. Overall though, I would stay again. Definitely recommend!

What a beautiful house and property! The location was great for driving into Mt. Rainier each day. We loved the hot tub in the evening.

The house was perfect for a family get away. Plenty of space. the house is not far from the entrance to Rainer National Park. The elk came to see us our second morning. The hot tub was a great bonus after hiking all day.

Stayed here during a hot spell in July and it was nice to have central AC to keep us comfortable during our stay. Everything seemed to be in good condition as well. The highlight, by far, was seeing a herd of about 30 elk come through and graze in the front yard for a few hours for two evenings.
