Our family, six adults and five children, had a wonderful time. This Cabin met everyone’s needs. The pool table and hot tub were a very big hit. We loved having a fire pit so close to the river and the kids had so much fun, exploring all around the area, and even walking out on the rocks above the waterfalls. We were notified by the owner a couple of days before we were to arrive, that one of the bunks on top should not be used because a couple of the slats were broken. She also told us that previous tenants had broken the timer on the fireplace, and that the lock on the garbage box was broken. She wanted to make sure that everything would still be accommodating for our group. She said that she was unable to get anyone out to fix these things until after our stay. There are so many places to visit, Dahlonega, Helen, wineries and so much more, that are very close to this property. We are already looking at dates to come back.
This property was perfect for our vacation! The home is absolutely beautiful and the outdoor space is amazing. There is a beautiful waterfall you can see right from the porches, a fire pit, grill, a heated electric gas table and all you need to enjoy a stay. We tried several restaurants in the area and enjoyed a night in grilling for dinner. We went to a lot of places and spent a day in Helen and a day in Dahlonega. I could’ve stayed at the house the entire time! It’s beautiful and so relaxing! We definitely want to go back!!! The kitchen area and living room is so nice and a lot of time was spent playing pool and just exploring the outside area. We absolutely loved our stay!
This property is amazing. The rushing waters from the creek, the mountains, fire pit, and hot tub were exactly what my family and friends needed to get away. The cabin is tucked away and a bit difficult to find at first, but when you get there you don’t want to leave. We visited Helen one day, and the drive was worth it. You will not be disappointed in this cabin. Just be sure to stock up as the closest store is 30 min away. Be sure to also visit Cavender Creek Vineyards and Winery. The wine and ambiance was awesome.
We enjoyed the beautiful property! The house was clean and we really appreciated the little touches the owners have in place to make it special. The beds were very comfortable and cozy! We had a little trouble getting in, but the owners were very helpful. My one wish is that the property had been blown off a day or two before we visited because the property and decks are so nice to use.
The best location. Awesome view and peaceful area. We had so much fun and property manager was very responsive and easy to reach out .
This place is absolutely incredible! The pictures could never do it justice. It’s absolutely stunning, someone has put a lot of hard work into the landscaping and maintenance of this property. The cabin itself is wonderful and has all the amenities listed, everything was spotlessly clean, and they even left s’mores packets and roasting sticks for us. The outside decks, porches, river and surroundings are definitely the highlight! Our plan was to visit some nearby towns like Helen and Blue Ridge but we were having such an amazing time right here at the cabin that we decided there was no need to leave. There’s a quaint local restaurant, the Riverside Tavern, not far down the road that had great ribs and pulled pork so if we felt the need to go out to eat, we went there. This meant we could spend more time truly just relaxed at this stunning cabin for the rest of our trip!
This was a wonderful weekend for 3 families who needed to get away and relax. And believe me when I say we got to relax, Bc we also had 8 kids with us! And there was so much for them to do and explore. We loved that it was a place you can just go to and not have to leave Bc everything you need is there- just bring food! The only con- was that seating for eating is only for 6 people. But we made it work! The cabin is a bit smaller in the living room/kitchen area so makes sense for smaller table . Would be nice probably to have an outdoor table on the large deck as well for seating/eating. Overall we loved it. And def will be back again!
Pictures do not do this place justice. It is the most peaceful, beautiful place. Our family had the best time. It was hard to even get anyone to want to leave the cabin to visit town. It was so nice to see our kids all enjoying the outdoors! They enjoyed the swimming hole and riding tubes through our rapids. We enjoyed making smores around the fire pit, with provided firewood. Internet was extremely spotty, but you're in the woods, so that's to be expected. There are LOTS of stairs, so just understand that if you have anyone with bad knees going. They have walking sticks provided. We will DEFINITELY be looking to return to this little slice of Paradise in the future.
We looked all over for a secluded house for our large family. I was leery about the rental at first because there was no ratings for the property. So, I jumped all in & booked the place. BEST decision for this weekend get away. We did go into Helen & eat one night but the house was so well stocked with cooking supplies we decided to cook at the house from then on. We visited Babyland while there too. If you have kids, that’s a must. It was a lot of fun & the grandkids had a blast spending money. We had no need to leave for anything because there was plenty to do. We fished & caught a bunch of Rainbow Trout. I sat in the creek & stone stacked for hours. The rest of the family enjoyed the hot tub while I spent most of my time around the fire pit or in the creek. There were a couple of hiccups but they couldn’t be prevented. A yellow jacket swarm and the basement shower head fell off while someone was showering. We used the wasp spray & light fluid to handle the wasp & the shower worked fine without the head. We have a WONDERFUL time. If you plan to rent this property you will not be disappointed. Just please get all the drinks, groceries & snacks before going to the property as it’s a good distance to the closest grocery store. I contacted the property manager after we checked out. I am a little disappointed that I still have not heard back & it’s been 12 hours. We are certain we left something very valuable & would like it back even if I have to pay for shipping & their time.
