Casual sophistication abounds in this rustically elegant living room. Plush, neutral furnishings and a breezy vaulted ceiling contrast perfectly with the log-cabin-style walls, wood beams, and cowboy decor to create an unforgettable setting. A stone hearth fireplace takes center stage, while a Smart TV offers a modern edge to your evenings.



When you reflect back on your time at Merritt’s Ridge, you’ll remember this space as the perfect communal setting, exchanging stories and laughs, and creating new memories while relaxing together, sipping on favorite beverages, and nibbling on charcuterie boards. The armchairs in front of the window make for a lovely spot to curl up and read a few pages in a book or catch up on your social feeds.



While the living space is a well-rounded blend of old and new, the kitchen is a decidedly upscale luxury. The family chef can look forward to stainless steel appliances, granite counters, a farmhouse sink, a tile backsplash, and a gorgeous brick vent hood. The neutral tones mix beautifully with the rich cream cabinets. A spacious peninsula bar seats 4 and offers the perfect opportunity to keep the chef company as he or she works their magic!



With the adjacent farmhouse dining table, you’ll want to bring back the tradition of family dinner. Overlooking the expansive property through two oversized windows, savor a delicious meal and the company of your friends and family.



Three spacious sanctuaries await guests at Merritt’s Ridge, each with a king-size bed and ensuite bath.



The first offers a lovely iron bed, with dual nightstands and lamps, perfect for late-night readers. A colorful area rug and ornate armoire add an air of old-world elegance. The ensuite bath offers a single vanity and walk-in rain-head shower.



The second primary suite is spacious, with unique lines and old west decor. Other features include dual nightstands and lamps, and a leather reading chair with its own standing lamp. Ideal for a few minutes of privacy with your novel, mobile device, or simply your thoughts. The ensuite bath has double vanities and a tiled walk-in rain-head shower in a cozy dormer setting.



The last of the 3 bedroom suites also offer dual nightstands and lamps, as well as a separate reading chair and lamp. A stunning, intricate cabinet sits against the wood cabin wall, creating an interesting juxtaposition of old and new. The ensuite bath offers a single vanity and a tiled walk-in rain-head shower.



With an impressively large open deck, you’ll be tempted to simply set yourself up for the day and enjoy the quiet and peaceful surroundings. It’s easy to lose track of time sitting on the comfortable sofa, soaking up the sun and overlooking nature.

✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $59.99 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.5 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

2. Not all homes have cable; consider setting up a streaming account in advance.

3. Our team is committed to assisting you, though occasional check-in delays may occur during peak periods.

4. WiFi is available in all homes, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed. No refunds or rate adjustments will be made for mechanical failures, or discontinued or interrupted services that occur during your stay.

5. A $500 fine will be imposed for any evidence of smoking, confetti, vomit residues, or glitter.

6. Set the A/C no lower than 72 degrees to prevent freezing and system issues; no refunds for low-temperature-related A/C problems.

7. Start-up sundries provided for the first two days; report missing items within one hour of arrival.

8. Pet-friendly units welcome pets with an additional fee; ensure pets are well-behaved and respectful.

9. Bugs are common in the Texas Hill Country; pest control is in place, but some insects are inevitable.

10. In Texas, there are periods of time without significant rainfall causing the county to place a ban on burning. Please check the current burn ban status, before using the fire pit at your vacation rental. Check the amenities to see if this rental is equipped with a fire pit.

11. Please observe Quiet Hours (10 p.m. to 7 a.m.)

12. Fredericksburg is an international Dark Sky Community. To protect the dark skies, please turn off outdoor lighting when not in use.

13. Only utilize the designated on-site and off-site parking spaces at your rental.

14. For any issues during your stay, a 72-hour window after check-out is provided to file a claim. Note that refunds won't be issued for claims submitted after this period. We appreciate your cooperation.

    Nice house, good value for the price. The grill did not work. I asked management to look into it, they did. But it still didn't work. Also, the cable TV was inadequate. Lots of obscure channels, but as far I we could determine, little access to primary channels.Other than that, the rustic setting was pleasant. Deer everywhere. Very clean.

    This was the most perfect get-a-way for our family. It was a reasonable drive into town, but we honestly couldn’t wait to get back to the ranch each day to enjoy the serenity of the property. Deer were around each day, especially at feeding time, the outdoor areas were perfect, and the decor was exquisite. We will definitely book again.

    This property was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our girls' weekend! The cabin is a perfect mix of rustic and modern and the porch and views were stunning. It was only a quick car ride into town for a nice dinner. We had the best time and will definitely be back!!

    This was a wonderful place for 3 couples, and we spent our evenings back at the house rather than in or around town because of the view, the beautiful outside areas and inside. Loved it and was perfect for us to celebrate my birthday and retirement from.
