Lupine Cabin - Homer Seaplane Base

Beautiful place to stay! Nice, newer cabins that are clean and quiet. Fun to sit on the deck and watch the planes come and go on the lake. Bed was very comfortable and with the nice shade, we were able to have it dark enough to sleep. Would definitely stay here again!

Location location location! Loved this scenic spot. Cabin is very nice overall but could use a few improvements. In the bedroom I like how it can be made very dark. However that is a problem, it could really use a bedside lamp or similar. I hurt my foot badly on the wacky bed frame that has a post right in the middle where you can’t see it and don’t expect it. Also I would have liked a luggage rack. There was nowhere to lay out my big suitcase other than the bed. You are inviting bedbugs with that situation plus it is inconvenient. In the bathroom, the toilet paper holder is mounted way too high in an unexpected spot and I hurt my arm on that. The shower head is also mounted too high and I could only just barely reach it. I did really like the kitchen facility and the laundry, huge pluses for convenience. The couch in the living room though, extremely uncomfortable and the TV is too small. So did not get to enjoy reading or watching a movie like I would have wanted. Really did not like how there was no blinds on one of the kitchen windows so this was a privacy concern as well as bothersome with sunlight. So while I would stay again because it’s a great spot overall, and so new, I was disappointed in the furniture and lighting situation, just some little design flaws that could really use improvement and then it could be downright perfect. I don’t want anyone else getting hurt twice like I did. Thank you!

Excellent! Very nice! Clean and location close to everything. Located on seaplane lake and able to watch the planes take off and land on lake from living room of unit. Highly recommend this property. Very easy check in and check out.

Enjoying watching seaplanes come and go and centrally located for all our activities while visiting Homer.

Great cabin!

What a wonderful experience to stay two nights at the Lupine Cabin at the Homer Seaplane Base. With the best view, great service by Nina and a comfortable and fully facilitated cabin, it frlt like a home away from home. From there I was able to make an unforgettable day trip with Beryl Air to both Katmai and Lake Clark National Parks. Highly recommended to stay at the Homer Seaplane Base!

They provided everything we needed. The view was great and we were only there for a couple days and didn’t mind the noise of the airplanes. It was also a great location for getting around Homer.

Wonderful stay! Very nicely appointed spaces. This is our 2nd time staying with HSB we really like it. One suggestion: Add reading lamps/lights on each side of bed. My wife and I had to read by flashlight : )

We really enjoyed our stay at Homer Seaplane Base. Lupine Cabin was clean, newer appliances, modern, and perfect for us. I love that they had laundry pods, dryer sheets, bottles of real shampoo/conditioner/body wash, a few basic spices in the kitchen, and cleaning supplies. Nothing worse than driving five hours to your rental and then having to go buy all of that stuff for a week. I also loved the location-it is centrally located where you can drive a few minutes to downtown or drive a few minutes the other direction towards the spit. Best price for value I've found in Homer so far in a number of trips down.
