Property was ok. Towels were super scratchy and uncomfortable! Would have expected more in terms of nicer amenities at the price of the cabin
Overall the cabin exceeded our expectations. It was plenty roomy for our family of four and we enjoyed our time at the cabin and in the surrounding area. A few things need help, the upstairs french door handle needs to be tightened up and the door needs to be tightened as well. The downstairs bathroom sink is very clogged and the house was crazy dusty. Also make sure to bring your own firewood because they just cut the wood under the porch and that aint going to burn. Overall we are happy with a few things that couldve been better. We would stay again!
We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. The location was great as it was quiet, spacious property, right on the creek and only 15min from shopping/restaurants. It was very clean and in really nice condition. We would definitely stay here again.
The cabin had electrical issues everyday. The lights would flicker randomly and we lost power for several hours. Since there was no signal in the area either or wifi, it made it impossible for us to cook or utilize anything. The jacuzzi was not able to get warmer than 85 degrees and was very cold. We followed the given instructions but did not help. The fire place was not functional either. I would like a refund please.
The perfect getaway!! We used this trip to just have down time from everyday life and it was much needed! The house was absolutely perfect! Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable!! We will definitely be back!!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Bear cabin! We spent the majority of our time by the fire pit next to the creek and just relaxed. My husband and I traveled with his parents and had a wonderful time showing them around northern GA, where we hope to move to soon. The ease of getting to this cabin was unexpected and certainly appreciated - we have stayed in cabins where the access was daunting and tough and this was neither. In fact, we saw lots of wildlife (deer, turkey, etc) every time we left and came back. Even some beautiful white cattle! The only thing not satisfactory with our stay was on arriving, the hot tub was open and full of leaves. It was also 68 degrees. We figured the cleaning crew must have left it open by accident - but it never got to a desirable hot temperature (the highest it went was 80). We called Vacasa on the third day of our 7 night stay and by night 6, it was repaired. We were thankful but sadly missed out on several nights of soaking after hiking Amicalola Falls and other places. I would still recommend this cabin based on the location, tranquility and ease of renting. We would absolutely stay again.
My husband and I had a peaceful and relaxing stay. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for comfort.
This was our second stay and we love the property. The only real complaint is that the hot tub does not heat as well as it should. We look forward to returning.
We enjoyed our stay and loved the outdoor space by the river. Quiet, yet close to Downtown Blue Ridge.
Loved it!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Lazy Bear. The cabin was exactly as described. Beautiful inside and out. It was short 15 min drive back to Blue Ridge. We will definitely stay here again. Quiet location and the fire pit next to the creek was a perfect way to end our day.
Amazing and def be back
It’s a beautiful property and will return, great for recharging.
We enjoyed the first part of our stay. We saw deer around the cabin a few times during our trip. The cabin was the perfect size for our family of 4. We cut our trip short as the temps outside dropped to 2-10 degrees. The heat in the cabin could not keep up, the fireplace was nice to keep the living room warm. The first cold night the power kept going out in the cabin so we burned through most of our firewood.
This cabin is very nice and well maintained. Everything was very clean. Kitchen well stocked with pans and such. Nice creekside area
This was a perfect getaway. The cabin was clean on arrival as well outside. This was our first cabin rental and I wasn’t sure what to expect but was surprised at how stocked it was with your basic supplies. From cookware, towels, extra blankets and pillows to little thinks I haven’t thought to bring like a little bottle of dish detergent and sponge at the kitchen sink. We gave the fire pit a try and it was amazing sitting there by the creek with the outdoor lights. My husband was a little disappointed at the size of the creek because he had plans to do some fishing but he did still catch a few small fish. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and plan on booking again!!!
Great cabin with peaceful river location. Lots of wildlife and loved the hot tub and wood burning fireplace. However the outside garbage can was overflowing when we arrived, and since it is black bear country, that issue needs to be resolved. Someone else posted the same thing. Other than that, a great place.
Well cleaned and had everything you needed for a vacation in the cabins.
We loved our stay! The creek setting is good for fishing, but very steep sides. Our dogs were sad not to get to swim, but there was no way in or out. The fire pit is great and everything was exactly as we expected!
Really enjoyed our stay this weekend. The creek access is kind of like a longish pool ladder and the creek is a sandy bottom between 2-4 feet in front of the property. The porch is nice. Plenty of shade. The two-seater hot tub controls seem broken, and we couldn’t turn on jets. There was a pile of 6 stinky garbage bags from prior occupants around the full garbage can on the deck when we arrived. I reported it to Vacasa as soon as we checked in — before 5. They called me after 5 and said it couldn’t be done today but they promised they would be picked up “first thing tomorrow morning.” Tomorrow came and went and the garbage pile was still there when we checked out. Not the kind of thing that ruins your weekend but it leaves an impression. Nice cabin, bad service.
The cabin was clean, and very private. The creek was a neat place to hangout. The lights made it perfect. Nice appliances and plenty pots and pans for cooking. Two queen bedrooms downstairs with a bathroom between them. King bedroom upstairs, with another bath. Living room and all bedrooms have their own tv. We just loved this cabin.
