Big house with lots of room to sleep allot of people. The condition of the cleaning is another story. It was a mess. Looked like they left all of a sudden in the middle of the cleaning and never came back. Dirty kitchen. Wouldn't cook in it. Unmade bed, towels over the made bed. Bags of garbage left around the house. 1 1/2 cans of garbage in the house. Yeah. I'll stop there. Think twice about this one!
The cabin is beautiful and large, great for a couple families to enjoy Arnold. It's updated and well stocked with kitchen/bathroom supplies and has strong WiFi. It has A/C on the main level and a separate unit for the upstairs bedroom but the loft space does not so it was pretty warm. A recommendation for the owner is to replace the valance on the 3 small windows with a cafe length curtain and to add a light filtering film to the large triangle window to keep out some light. This will keep the space cooler and allow kids to sleep in later as it's very bright up there. I will also note the stairs are a bit wider than some and our baby gate did not extend long enough to fit. We blocked the stairs with furniture as best we could to keep our toddlers safe, but any other families make sure yours can extend to at least 42. There is mixed info about using the HOA amenities, the listing shows the amenities but the booking confirmation info says renters can't use them. However the guest pass is available at the cabin along with HOA info in the binder. All in all we loved this cabin and will definitely book again in the future.
Great, clean and cozy place. Recommend.
Upon arrival: Dirty sheets, hand/bath towels, beds unmade. Multiple broken dishes, coffee pot with hole in it. Grill very dirty Positives: wifi is great. Good location No cellular service for AT&T
We have stayed at this home twice. The space and layout are great for multiple families. It is run down however. The first stay the AC and fridge didn’t work. (The AC unit was shut off outside) The second most recent stay, the downstairs shower head didn’t work, the Wi-Fi didn’t work the entire stay (and there is no cell service) the air hockey table is completely broken and literally had pieces falling off, the couches are falling apart with obvious rips and tears, the propane tank was almost empty, and the upstairs loft is uninhabitable During summer. It was so hot upstairs (90 + degrees) no AC unit in loft and the cooler in the upstairs bedroom and downstairs AC does not cool it down at all. There aren’t enough towels (two per bathroom; no washcloths, one kitchen hand towel, one hot pad), not enough dishwasher pods. We won’t be staying again. There are too many better options. I suggest Looking elsewhere until needed improvements are made.
Loved the house! Sitting space was great, loved the labeled kitchen, actual seating for 9 people was the best!!! Fireplace wouldn’t start, and that was a super bummer as that’s on my top 3 wants. Also, we hit our head on the beam over the beds in the loft twice (once was rather major—swelled forehead for a whole day). Other than those, we’d rent this place in a heartbeat again. Super wonderful
The house was fine and the location - within an HOA with pond, pool, courts, etc - was great. However, we were very disappointed with (a) the poor communication from the property manager, (b) lack of clarity regarding the HOA facilities and (c) the lack of Wi-Fi service. (a) and (b) Before arriving I received a cryptic note on my reservation reminder email that the HOA amenities were “not available for guests.” I called at least three times to confirm that we’d be able to use the HOA facilities, and requesting the property manager call me. I never received a call, but finally received a cryptic email which directed me to website listing the amenities. It was also relayed to me - via Vacasa rep - that “the guest passes will be on the binder.” However, when we checked in, the binder did NOT contain the guest passes or any instructions for use of HOA amenities (or any other guest instructions). (C) We also immediately noted there was no Wi-Fi/internet (or cell reception). The next day, we drove to cell range to report the lack of internet. We were informed there was a local outage; however that wasn’t the case because you could get weak internet at the clubhouse. The Wi-Fi never worked throughout our stay, after restarting the router, etc. This became problematic when trying to communicate with Vacasa/property manager per below. The real frustration came on Day 2 of 4 of our reservations. Because there were no instructions for the HOA facilities, we went to the pool and our four 14-year-olds walked in first past the kiosk. They were tracked down and yelled at by the pool manager for not checking in and providing the guest passes, which of course they didn’t know they had to have. They were pretty upset about being berated. We were then informed (somewhat more politely) that we needed the guest passes. I spent 2 hours trying to get ahold of Vacasa and/or the property manager to find where the guest passes were. The next day we decided to leave a day early since the facilities were not available and the boys had this negative experience. In packing up, we found the guest passes under the something on the kitchen counter. We were able to use the facilities on the last day, but at that point we had already packed and we left a day early. We did finally also hear from the property manger, but at that point we had finally found the pass ourselves and packed up. Since then I haven’t been able to connect with the PM.
The cabin was outstanding overall. It was very comfortable and spacious. Some of the furniture showed signs of age and wear, but everything was usable. Showers were very spacious, and overall, our stay was great.
We have stayed in this cabin for years. This year we had a few issues. 1. Trash was full when we arrived. Repeated calls to Vacasa where we were promised it would be resolved immediately. Instead we had trash bags piled in the kitchen for the entire stay. This was true at other Vacasa cabins our family stayed at the same week. 2. None of our cabins were adequately supplied with basics like toilet paper and trash bags. 3. We tried to get connected to the area manager but Vacasa never followed through. We will book through another service (VRBO, AirBNB, Cedar Creek Realty) next summer.
We had an awesome time the property was beautiful
I will start with what we loved, and then I will name what we did not appreciate. The Good: The house location is perfect. It is located beside a golf course, with not much of a view except for the green fairway between the trees. However, it was very peaceful. The house is huge, and plenty of room for anyone to find a quiet corner to get away from the center of attention. The kitchen is stocked with great cooking dishes and pans. This is THE ONLY HOUSE that we found with three bedrooms and three full-size bathrooms so each couple can have privacy with their own bathrooms. Each bathroom except for one has been upgraded with some cool showerheads. Access to the keys was easy. Access to the WIFI was easy. The rental fees match the house value, you get what you pay for! Plenty space for parking The Bad The house needs some upkeep and attention: As you get into the house, the first thing that jumps at you is a ripped ottoman. In order to turn on the lights, you have to walk 15 feet into the house in darkness to turn on the lights. The switch to the right of the front door does not light the house. Some parts of the house were dirty, and spider webs on the windows. The BBQ was filthy, and the gas buttons were greasy, bbq tools were left on the BBQ below the bbq cover dirty from the previous guests or who knows for how long they have been there. There was no furniture to sit on the deck outside. We washed every dish manually as we felt that the cleanliness of the place was not up to par and we did not want to take any chances. The outside of the house had some garbage on the ground, plastic bottles. It takes at least 10 minutes of running the water before you get hot water in every faucet, initially we thought that the hot water was not working. Once you get hot water, the pressure is low, and the hot water is not enough for six people. You have to wait until the hot water heats up again. We stayed at the house for four days, and we were provided with only two dishwasher pods. We had to call the 800 # to get some more pods. Some rooms had an ample amount of towels (2 towels per person), and one room had only one set of towels. Around the dining room table, you can only sit on benches. If you play board games, it is tough to sit on the benches for an extended period. Some of our friends complained that their beds were very uncomfortable, I had no problem with the bed in themaster bedroom, except that I am 65 and my feet were sticking out on a king size mattress. some of the walls need repainting as there are black scuffs all over them. There were ants crawling on the floor of the master bathroom. Using Apple Screen Mirroring sometimes works, and most of the time, it does not work. Trying to stream from a wireless device to the TV freezes every few seconds to buffer. Getting a hold of the local property management is a pain. You have to call Vacasa, and they relay the message to the local property management. We requested a late checkout, and no one got back to us with an answer.
