Stayed Aug 16, 2025We absolutely loved this place - we wanted privacy on the mountain and that's what we got! We walked out the door and hiked up a mountain, we drove 5 minutes and checked out Pinkerton Hot Spring, we drove N. 25 minutes and hiked Cascades waterfall! The house has EVERYTHING we needed and was appointed with everything I forgot to bring, a true delight while on vacay with children! The only complaint about our stay - we didn't realize the highway would be so loud. At night there isn't much traffic so that wasn't an issue, but sitting on the deck or in the yard, it was quite loud. All in all, we'd stay again in a heartbeat!

Stayed Aug 21, 2025A beautiful cabin nestled in the hillside with beautiful views and complete privacy. Away from the hustle bustle of Durango but only 20 minutes into town to have dinner and or get to the train station or various activities. We will recommend this property to family and friends for a quick getaway.

Stayed Mar 10, 2025Very nice propery between Durango and Purgatory. Well furnished with beautiful views and nice amenities including the hot tub. Easy access to the road. There are stairs to access the home, but that was not an issue for us. Overall, very pleased with this choice. We will definitely stay again.

Stayed Jun 27, 2024We loved staying at this cabin in the mountains. The stairs were a little daunting when we first got there, but they were okay. Walking into the cabin we saw a beautiful home. We loved the decorations. It was done very well. We all had great beds and amenities. When they said the kitchen was fully stocked, they really meant it. We didn't have to purchase very much for our needs. The area around the cabin was very nice. We loved seeing turkeys, ground squirrels, and hummingbirds. We felt safe there. No bears or other large animals. We ended up being basically right across the road from where our wedding venue was at Chris Park. We wished that we could have had more to to ride the horses at trail ride company. This is a beautiful area.

Stayed Jun 8, 2024This was a great spot to be centrally located close enough to Durango and points west (Mesa Verde, etc.) and close enough to the mountains. It's an easy drive off the highway and a quiet spot. Lots of helpful info in the host's guidebook for fishing, hiking, dining, and everything else.

Stayed Aug 7, 2023We have family in Durango and drove in two vehicles to stay for the week. We went to Silverton and saw the sites and took hikes. The kids had a wonderful horse back ride at Bear Ranch. We went to the Durango Hot Springs. Went to the Ute cultural museum and learned a lot about their history. And sat in the Hot Tub and saw some awesome meteorites! We had an awesome time.
