The Love Shack is an absolutely charming cottage featuring 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. This quiet getaway far removed from the stress of city life, but conveniently located 30 to 45 minutes from Nashville. The perfect place for romance, peace and quiet, or just reconnecting with loved ones. Private outdoor Hottub entails $50 fee for set up.
Located at the end of a winding one lane road, Love Shack is nestled in the forest of Big East Fork Conservation Easement. Surrounded by the cool, calm forest, Love Shack holds privacy for couples and small families who just want to get away. No pets please.
Love Shack sits atop a ridge adjacent to Nachez Trace National Park and neighbors Leiper’s Fork; home to many country music stars and media personalities. The land is surrounded by Big East Fork Retreat which is home to miles of hiking trails that access small waterfalls, lakes, ponds, meadows, and woods. Deer, turkey, and coyotes are among the numerous wildlife that call Big East Fork home.
TRASH. Please don’t dump on us! There is no trash collection in Big East Fork Valley. Someone has to remove the trash and take it to the dump or to town. If you do this yourself, your entire Community Fee Trash Deposit will be returned to you. If you leave any un-bagged trash in the house or trash cans, you will forfeit your Community Trash Deposit Fee. If you leave bagged trash in the outside trash receptacles, you will be charged $5 per bag for its proper disposal. This can really add up! You may contract to have your bagged trash removed by a private party (A list of trash removers is on our web-site, which is accessible to you after making your reservation).
One of the best ways to reduce the volume of your trash is to separate organic materials that we may compost to make soil for our gardens. If you are checking out on noon Sunday, come bring your usable food, drink, and spirit to the Center for Sustainable Stewardship’s Community Brunch, held every Sunday noon at the CSS Farm, 5400 Big East Fork Rd. Meet, greet, and express gratitude to the people who have worked hard to make your stay memorable. It takes a village to prepare and maintain our valley and its houses. Meet the Chief Steward and members of CSS who maintain the trails, take care of watercraft, groom the hiking trails, and care for the farm animals. And meet the Fork Inn team that landscape the houses, clean the rooms, prepare the laundry, and service our guests to give them the unique experiences found in the Big East Fork Valley.
So only place properly bagged garbage in garbage bins. Do not place garbage directly in large garbage receptacles unless it has been bagged. NO UNBAGGED TRASH in our large waste containers or grounds. There will be a $100 extra charge if we have to bag any trash.
Don’t place trash outside of bins making it accessible to hungry critters. Best is to put compostable organics in the black compost buckets. We LOVE composting and making soil !
THE BASE PRICE IS FOR TWO (2) PERSONS. There is a $40 per person per night additional charge for the number of persons over two. NO PARTIES!
Great remote cabin. Quiet and relaxing. The cabin was furnished with everything we needed for a great stay. The listing was very misleading with included amenities. Listing indicates a redneck pool and I confirmed with the host there was a pool onsite. However, there is no pool (there was a Rubbermaid tub smaller than a kiddie pool or bathtub) and the amenities are not on the property. You have to partner with a local organization to get access to rent paddle boats, canoe or other amenities. Aside from misleading amenities, I enjoyed and would recommend.
What a wonderful cabin in the woods. The cabin was very clean had all the amenities we needed to cook with and anything else you could want. The property manager was extremely helpful, polite, kind and genuine. Would recommend this to ANYONE for a beautiful seclusion getaway still close enough to the city for fun
Love how the property is secluded and the hot tub was very relaxing after a long drive. It was a perfect weekend getaway for us. We will be visiting this property again.
Stayed here for a week and it was absolutely wonderful! The cabin is perfect and cozy and tucked into a little pocket of nature out in the woods. Not to mention its a short distance from Nashville which is an excellent city with tons to do. Staying here at the Love Shack has been one of the best vacations ive ever been able to experience, if you want a place to get away from it all and have a wondeful time, this is it.
Need to know drive is rough
Great time, great location. Very secluded just what we wanted !
The property's manager, Wade, greeted us and throughout our stay was available if we had any problems. We enjoyed a tour of his greenhouse where he grew a variety of tomatoes some of which we were invited to take home. The Love Shack was not far from the quaint town of Leipers Fork. If you want seclusion and natural beauty the Love Shack comes highly recommended.
Great experience which exceeded expectations! Thanks for the hospitality!
The property is just like the pictures. The property manager was very helpful with the arrival process. We had no issues what so ever and plan to go back someday!
Quiet, relaxing.
Our stay was romantic and amazing! We stayed for 5 nights so that changes logistics for a hot tub a bit. After day one it started to cloud so some pool chemicals were brought over for us to use. All other minor issues were addressed immediately! We enjoyed our stay to the point that if we are in the Nashville area again we would consider this property as an option!
Very great place to get away lots of privacy Great communication from hosts Me my sister and our husband's had a concert in Nashville glad we stay here and extra days so woth the relaxing time we had there away from everything. The hot tub and red neck pool were great. Thanks Wade for allowing us to get some much need time away. Definitely will be back.
My new wife and I needed the weekend away since our honeymoon was dismantled by Covid. This place was perfect, and paying the extra for the hot tub was exactly what we needed. My only comment on the location is that we went during a dry season, so the waterfall was lovely but nowhere near the levels in the pics. (Watch for ticks and poison ivy during the hike.)
Just what we needed, time away to spend our 30th anniversary.
