Lyndhurst, Virginia
Pre-Civil War Log cabin
Cabin Creekwood is a family-owned business providing relaxing getaways in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia since 1982. Cabin sizes vary, with individual units accommodating up to 10 people. Larger groups can rent two or more cabins that are in close proximity.
Each cabin is fully furnished, with full kitchen, bathroom(s), living room, bedroom(s), and private outdoor space. The cabins are all heated and air conditioned. In addition to the thermostatically-controlled heat, our fireplaces, gas logs, or wood-burning stoves provide a special ambiance.
Outdoor living space for each cabin includes a fire pit, a charcoal grill, and a picnic table. Most cabins also have a deck or patio with additional seating.
There is so much to do near-by. The Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park, and Sherando Lake Recreational Area are all close by, providing the opportunity to explore the outdoors during the day, and relax in comfort at night.
Our area also abounds in history, whether your interest is the American Civil War, the frontier period, Shakespearean theatre, or the founding fathers. The towns of Waynesboro, Staunton, and Charlottesville are all just a short drive away.
After you stay at Cabin Creekwood once, you'll realize why we have so many guests who return year after year, some for as long as 20+ years in a row!
We had a very nice stay at this property. The place was clean and equipped with everything we needed. This was a very peaceful retreat and we would definitely stay there again.
The setting in rural Virginia along a creek was beautiful, restful and serene. The Pre-Civil War log cabin was comfortable, fully equipped and rustic inside and out. What a fantastic experience ? and recommend it highly.
Stayed for just one night, but it is in a great location and the cabin was really fun. My son played by the stream in the morning. Highly recommend!
The cabin was very clean and very well maintained. Our kids loved to sleep all in one room on the upper level. We loved the creek in the back too. I was surprised by the traffic from the street that is right in front of the cabin. There were cars and trucks coming and going at fast speeds. Also, the proximity of the cabin next to us, is right next, giving you little privacy. I think if you come with little kids you will have to be very careful with the traffic on the street. Other than that we like it.
It was a quiet little cabin with history. Close to a lot hiking trails. We loved it. We will definitely be back also be prepared for the scavenger hunt with in the cabin.
