If you are looking for a quiet, authentic log cabin in Montana to escape a busy, chaotic life, then the Rock Creek Hideaway is the perfect spot for you! Nestled in the foothills of the spectacular Beartooth Mountains, this piece of paradise sits on the banks of the rolling waters of Rock Creek River. The only distractions you may find here are visits from local deer or other wildlife.

This cabin is truly a Montana dream escape and is ideal for 2 people who are looking for a place to relax and explore the adventures of Red Lodge and the Beartooth Mountains. Soak your cares away in the hot tub, as you watch the rolling cascade of water flow in Rock Creek! Fully stocked with all the linens and towels you need, this cabin has a queen bed in the loft, along with two oversized chairs that can pull out into twin-sized beds. The Rock Creek Hideaway also has one half bathroom downstairs (with heated floors) and a full shower upstairs. Warm up by the fire in the wood stove, or relax on the upper level patio and listen to the water roll over the rocks below. Steps off the back deck lead directly down to Rock Creek, where you can fish or just enjoy the front-seat view to one of the most beautiful rivers in Montana!

Whether you are looking for a hunting/fishing adventure weekend, or simply a couple’s getaway, the Rock Creek Hideaway is only 5 miles south of the quaint mountain town of Red Lodge, where you will find numerous shops, restaurants, and museums. Or pull out of your driveway and you are immediately on the Beartooth Highway, which was called “the most beautiful roadway in America,” by On the Road correspondent Charles Kuralt. This jaw-dropping drive will take you nearly 11,000 feet above sea level with astonishing views of one of the most rugged mountain ranges in the United States. At the summit, you can visit “The Top of the World,” where you can rent UTVs and adventure through some of the best UTV trails in the area! Continue along the Beartooth Highway to the entrance of Yellowstone National Park, which is less than 50 miles from the town of Red Lodge, and explore one of the nation’s most famous national parks. (Note: Beartooth Highway is only open from May 31-October 15).

Other activities in the area include horseback riding, fishing, rafting, rock climbing, skiing, hiking … the list goes on and on! Let us help you plan your perfect Montana getaway at our little piece of paradise at the Rock Creek Hideaway!

*Please note: This property is a fairly rustic, natural log cabin located in the mountains. Although it is rare, there may be times where our best proactive pest control methods aren't 100% effective. We do our best to spray for bugs and minimize any outdoor pests, but we cannot guarantee that there might not be an issue. Also, the stairs/ladder to the loft are steep and may not be suitable for some people or pets. There are also a couple of beams in the loft that some people may have to duck under (if you are taller than 5'8).

Worst thing about it. It’s not mine. Cute little cabin loved sitting on the deck watching rock creek and just listening to the water run. Relaxing in the hot tub with the creek as your back ground noise is also extremely relaxing. Definitely would recommend to my friends and family

Very cute cozy cabin, lovely hot tub on a beautiful river. The host was very easy to communicate with and made us feel very welcome on arrival. Only down sides were the stairs to the loft were way too steep for our dog to climb so we ended up hunkering down in the living room which was okay, we made a fire, and we knew that the stairs might be a problem but we’re hoping they wouldn’t be. Only other issue is if you want to cook while you’re there, it can be quite challenging as there is just a conduction burner, a hot plate and a convection oven. For the price of the stay I would have hoped for a little bit more but overall it was very relaxing and we had a great time.

If you’re debating on this cabin, don’t. Just reserve this little piece of Heaven and you won’t regret it. Beautiful Mountain View, relaxing creek in the back that you can hear and see. A hot tub to wind down after your day of sight seeing. The actual town has the cutest shops and restaurants. We stayed a whole week and didn’t want to leave the cabin because it was so cozy and peaceful. Couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon! And the coffee mugs were such a small detail but one of my favorite cozy things about the cabin. We enjoyed coffee and wine while staying warm with the wood stove. Minutes from the Beartooth Pass and just over an hour from Yellowstone. This place deserves all the stars.

This tiny log cabin was perfect for the hubby, myself, and our dog! Just a couple minutes outside Red Lodge but so quiet and peaceful! The hot tub was amazing after a day of adventures! We enjoyed leaving the window above the bed open at night to listen to rock creek. The host even had a welcoming gift of our drink of choice waiting for us on ice when we arrived!! Would definitely stay here again!

From beginning to end my experience with this property and the property manager were excellent. The instructions for the property were thorough, thoughtful and kind. I spoke with Jenny and she was amazing. My husband and I loved hanging out in the hot tub overlooking Rock Creek while the snow fell all around us. The cabin was thoughtfully laid out and we were warm, comfortable and cozy. We were close enough to Red Lodge to go and get great food whenever we wanted. 10 out of 10! If you're looking for a romantic getaway with your partner or a solo trip this is the place! Thank you Jenny and crew for a wonderful stay!

Is overall a nice place to stay, the scenery is amazing. I would recommend to owner to maybe have somewhere for guests to store their things while staying. A dresser and some closet space.

This property has a cozy living room with comfortable seating. We cooked for ourselves and had everything we needed except sharp knives (bought a couple). Enjoyed the sound of the rushing river. Very convenient to explore the Beartooths. Nice tourist town nearby & good grocery store. You have to climb a ladder to get to the bed. Shower is up the ladder, toilet/sink downstairs. We enjoyed our stay!

This place is exactly as is advertised. It's is a small cabin in the mountains. We stayed there for 9 nights, and just loved it! The back porch and hot tub were a wonderful addition. There are neighbors, and we only saw them once. It's a quick drive into Red Lodge, and a direct route to the Beartooth Highway into Cooke City and Yellowstone. My Dad and I stayed there, and we came from Kansas. The host replied to every single email I sent, and was extremely helpful. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to escape to the mountains to stay in a log cabin!
