Over all it's a nice cabin. Had a little issue with water flow in the back of the toilet. Response was very good on getting this issue taken care of. Needs a little better equipped kitchen, but we made do. Probably not an issue for those eating out most of the time. Our puppy loved the place. Got to see a bear come by one morning.

Had a wonderful stay at Mountain Perch over the Christmas holiday. Ping pong table was a hit with the kids. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We were in the area for a church gathering. It was a good place for us with the exception of a couple of things. We had my elderly mother in law with us who had some trouble getting up the steps onto the porch. They lean away from the porch and had no hand rails. The other was my fault for not making sure there was a bedroom on the main level. This caused my mother in law to have to sleep on the sofa bed and recliner . We saw a momma bear and two cubs twice along with a male bear at our cabin two days that was a good size. It was a little farther up the mountain than I expected but my mother in law had her first bear sighting so it was worth the drive.

This cute cabin had plenty of space for our big family and was conveniently located. Only issue we had was the downstairs toilet had no water running to it. We called the morning after our first night and were told to expect someone that day. No one ever came to get the toilet working. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

Extremely approachable and responsive host, multiple emails with reminders and tips well before arrival date. Cabin clean and everything in working order. Loved multiple levels of sleeping arrangements, perfectly fitting for families with multiple kids. Everyone was very happy.

Our stay was less than stellar. The listing is not as described. There is not a TV in two of the bedrooms. The cable/satellite did not work. I called for assistance and the rental company, yes you deal with a rental company, not the owner, and they sent out a “tech” to correct the issue. The issue is there is no cable or satellite and is streaming only. And you must use your log ins for streaming too. The listing also states there is a tub bath in the bathroom that is on the main floor, it is only a small shower. The bottom floor shower drain was cracked all around the drain and could not be used as fear of cutting your foot and I’m sure the subfloor must be rotten from the water leaking in. The second floor deck is not braced well and the entire deck on one side of the house is warped and leaning out. Very unsafe and I shared this statement along with photos to the VRBO team and was sent an email stating all the issues would be resolved and a communication would be sent to me when resolved. I never received any communication after I had requested two additional times. The pool table is “leveled” with cardboard under the feet. The cabin feels run down, dirty and dingy. Paint missing from the doors, broken blinds, dirty rug in the living room and too much furniture. As a VRBO owner myself, I understand the expectations of guests and I was very disappointed as I know I keep my rental clean and as represented online. Also, note the bedrooms are listed as semi private.

Cabin was very peaceful and quiet and the view would have been 10x better if a couple trees were cut down. Overall great cabin to stay.

We loved our stay at A Mountain Perch! The road to the cabin was a little nerve wracking in the dark, but the cabin itself was great. It looks a lot different right now with the leaves in the trees than it does in the pictures, but it’s beautiful. The only negative thing I have to say is that the parking was very difficult. You have to park alongside the front of the cabin and be out of the way of the street. There’s enough room (I drive a Kia Carnival) but it made me nervous pulling in.
