Built by German settler Gerhard Rorig in 1846, this cabin served as a Sunday House. Sunday Houses were a second home where men stayed on weekends after a night of drinking with their friends. They were located near a church, so they could attend church on Sundays. This cabin was later added on and renovated by Johann Loeffler and his son-in-law J. Charles Weber. The home stayed in the Loeffler-Weber family for 90 years. Then George and Gloria Hill bought and restored it in the 1960s.Our cabincombines rich history with a few modern touches to provide a special vacation experience in Texas Hill Country. Some of those modern touches include an antique king-size bed, a wood burning fireplace and a wet bar with gourmet coffee beans.

The highlight of the Loeffler-Weber Cabin is the history behind it. From the wood-burning fireplace to the rustic masonry, you’ll feel like you’re in another time when you stay here. The Loeffler-Weber Cabin is located in Fredericksburg, TX and within close proximity to activities & attractions including a number of dining options, shops, galleries, frequent outdoor events, wineries and more.

*Please note if you are a light sleeper: This rental is located on Main Street, so it is subject to some road noise.

**Locally made pastries available for purchase.

***Children under the age of 17 are not allowed at this property due to safety hazards associated with an unfenced pool nearby.

***To keep the cabin true to its original build, the Fredericksburg Historical Commission does not allow structural changes to the cabin, including 5’7″ door frames, steps and a very small shower.

The cabin was very cozy and rustic! Awesome place to stay if you want to feel like you stepped back in time, but still enjoy some of today's comforts. The bathroom shower was a little cramped for me at 6'2 and there was street noise at night, but it was Friday night. I would definitely stay here again, though! My wife and i really enjoyed our stay.

We reserved this charming historical cabin for a single night to celebrate my birthday. The owners were so great! They allowed us to check in early AND they left me a birthday cupcake complete with candle! Despite its historic nature, the cabin is very comfortable--bed was delightful, the bath linens were luxurious. All the comforts necessary for a great little vacation. Loved it.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay. The cabin was cozy, clean, and fun to stay at. I even managed to only bump my head a couple of times on the original doorframes. :) The location was perfect, everything was within easy walking distance and although the listing warned of street noise, it really wasnt noticeable at all and didnt affect our enjoyment of the property. And for a bonus, we got to watch A&M pull off an incredible comeback vs. LSU on the TV! Gig 'em!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay for our 32nd anniversary. Cabin was just like pictured. Not far from a great little coffee shop and some restaurants. Easy to get to shopping. We really enjoyed it.

I was wowed by the history of the Loefler cabin. Just absolutely incredible. WE love historic adventures. I would recommend to anyone for just about any time. WE shopped & dined & found plenty of Live music. Great time.

We were notified of an early checkin, and the moment we got to our historic destination it was more than we expected! It was clean and a neat boutique-like stay. If you are looking for something different than a traditional hotel room, this was perfect! Just remember that the home was built in the 1800’s and is reminiscent of its time, but has a bathroom and everything you need to enjoy a unique stay! The host was easy to talk to, and would definitely stay again!

This was such a cute little cottage! We drive over to check in at 4, and then easily walked back to eat dinner near Main Street. Great, relaxing spot for a night or two!
