Our stay was wonderful! The home was extremely clean and had everything we needed. James was a great host and responded very quickly to any questions we had. I would absolutely stay here again.

Loved the stay. As promised - the property is overlooking the town yet op on the hill in the woods. Clean and well equipped. Saw a fox and a black bear on the road next to the property. a short drive from excellent hikes too! we had a really good time!

This is our new favorite cabin in Gatlinburg. The cabin was very clean and well-maintained with a fantastic view of Gatlinburg. The location is ideal being near the strip and park entrance. James was very welcoming, responsive and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful home with an awesome view. The kids loved the game room, which allowed us adults to enjoy the view from the deck. Great choice for a home base in the Smokies!

James is the perfect host! I’ve been vacationing in Gatlinburg for years and his cabin is top notch. Beds are comfortable. It’s beyond clean. Cozy and feels like home. It is perfect for staying in with loved ones and so close to everything if you want to venture out. Cannot recommend it enough.

The weather was looking bad for the weekend and James called me ahead of time to ask me what I wanted to do. He gave me my choice of what I wanted to do. I’ve never had a host contact me in the 38 years we’ve been coming to Gatlinburg. The chalet was spotless and the view beautiful at night. Probably the best experience I’ve had.

The home was lovely-the pictures do not do it justice! Plenty of wood to build a fire and enjoy how tastefully it was decorated! Christmas tree and decorations made it just PERFECT!James (host) was the best! He checked on us prior to arriving and after we arrived to make sure there was nothing we needed!! Cannot say enough about how he went above and beyond to make sure everything was to our expectations! The home was pristine and kudos to the cleaning crew! Highly impressed & recommend!

What a beautiful place to come home to after a long day out downtown. Everything was clean and comfortable and the wood burning fireplace was the best at the end of a cold day. Our host was great and answered any questions we had. We could not ask for more.

Location was perfect! Close enough to downtown but still with a Mountain View. House was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need! Our favorites were the wood fireplace and gaming area. James is an Allstar host!

The kitchen was great and accessible for cooking and very efficently equipped for our needs. It was very quiet, peaceful, with a great location and a beautiful view (day and night). The place has always been neat and clean. We love the cabin as this will be our 4th or 5th stay. The host was awesome and checked in on us.

This was our second time staying at Living Color. It did not disappoint! It truly feels like a home away from home. The house was clean, smelled amazing and stocked with everything we needed. The pool table and arcade games were a big hit!You cannot beat the location. Tucked up the hillside so you feel peaceful and secluded but still only a short walk down to the downtown Parkway to enjoy the restaurants and festivities.James is a wonderful, helpful host We highly recommend staying here.We will definitely be back!Thank you James!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home with tranquil views of the Smoky Mountains. The location was ideal—just a short drive to both the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and downtown Gatlinburg, yet tucked away in a peaceful, private setting. The home was spacious, very clean, and well-appointed. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed relaxing in the cozy living room after a long day of hiking. In early morning we spent time admiring the breathtaking views from the porch. Our boys especially loved the game room with the pool table and arcade games. James was a wonderful host and communicator. He promptly answered all of our questions and had very helpful tips and recommendations for restaurants and activities. Highly recommend for families looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the Smokies. We’d love to come back!

It was very clean convenient to downtown. Kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were also very comfortable. Enjoy the pool table.

This property has amazing views. It is so comfortable and beautiful. It had everything we needed and more. The pool table and games were such an added bonus of fun. Yes, the drive up and down is a bit steep but we got used to it. The host goes above and beyond with communication and extras. The check out was probably the easiest I have ever had.

Our stay was perfect and we would absolutely book this home again. The location is amazing-best of both worlds. Close enough that we drove down the hill to a free parking spot (you can walk down too) and walked the strip everyday yet our home was quiet and nestled up a mountain among trees and with bear sightings. Beautiful front porch mountain views. My kids loved the pool table, video game console and tvs in every bedroom for rainy days. The kitchen was comfortable and had everything we needed to make breakfast every morning. The beds were all comfortable and I truly felt at home in this house which is hard for me usually! Loved our Smoky Mountain adventure!!

We loved our stay in Gatlinburg. James was an excellent host and very friendly. The cabin is beautiful and we loved the decor. It is close to town and the national park. James has thought of everything to make a stay very comfortable at this property. It was perfect for our family.

We loved our stay at this property! You get the best of both worlds by enjoying the cabin experience with a view while being close to downtown. The road up to the cabin is a bit scary at first, but we got the hang of it after a couple trips. The host was very accommodating and the house was super clean. You will see bears at this cabin if the season is right for them. We really enjoyed the gas fireplace on the porch during cool evenings. 100% recommend this property and would stay again!

Our stay was absolutely lovely. James is amazing! The home is gorgeous and well kept. We have been coming to Gatlinburg for years and finally found a gem! We would definitely stay here during any season. It snowed a good amount while we were there and the road up to the home was well managed. The drive up to the home is achievable. I had read other reviews that stated it was difficult to get up. I did not find this to be the case at all.The location is perfect. It offers a secluded feel with easy access to down town and the national park.

This is the ideal home for a Gatlinburg stay. Whether you are headed into the park or downtown, it’s a perfect location. The view of Gatlinburg is so beautiful at night. We could get into the park with no traffic. The house itself was amazing for hanging out with our family. James went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible experience.

The cabin was very nice and up to date with all of the amenities. Loved the location close to the strip although better be sure you have a car that can get up the steep hills!! James was an excellent host and kept in touch with us throughout our stay.

Great location close to town, able to see down town. House was perfect for are small group of three but we work great for group of 6. Did not see a bear in the yard but did see one at the neighbors house.

This house is fantastic! Clean. Well kept and furnished nicely, including kitchen. Just a block or so from downtown area. The property manager told us about a few parking places we could use that's about 100 yards or less from the main road. We have enjoyed the Christmas parade many times, especially when the kids were small, and now that it is just my wife and I, we still enjoy it. If you're looking for a beautiful place to stay in Gatlinburg, I would highly recommend this location. This will be the first place we will look for availability whenever we go to Gatlinburg.

We absolutely loved our time in the house. It was beautiful. Plenty of TVs , a pool table and video games - all were awesome. The location was perfect. Right up the hill from the main strip and all the shops and restaurants.this was the perfect house.

The property is ideally located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Smoky Mtn. National Park and access to Gatlinburg strip. We enjoyed the mtn views and occasional wildlife visitors. The house was as described, extremely clean and offered everything needed for our family vacation stay. The owner was great to work with and we would look to using the property again in the future.

We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful home on the mountain! This was our very first time in Tennessee and we were made to feel right at home. James and his wife were extremely helpful and made sure we had a great experience. We were thrilled to have a few visits from the local bears and enjoyed playing pool in the billiard room. The house was very comfortable and close to all that Gatlinburg has to offer. We will definitely be back!

We couldn’t have asked for a better host, especially as we’re completely new to vrbo! The house was extremely well stocked, clean, and the location was excellent! James was so nice and incredibly helpful, he made our stay here so much easier. Communication was top-notch (he checked in with us a couple times while we were there and even though we didn’t need anything I feel as though if we had it would have been taken care of immediately) and he answered every question we had before our stay. We saw MANY bears during our stay, our kids were even greeted by one Tuesday morning on the front porch while my husband and I were driving the motor trail looking for bears. 🙂 Roaring Forks is a short drive away, and we were able to park our car at the bottom of the hill (where we saw a bear a number of times) and walk to Anakeesta (a must do!), the Sky Bridge, and numerous restaurants and shops. Thank you, James, for opening your home to allow tourists to experience the beauty of GSMNP and for being such a wonderful host! We will definitely recommend this house to family and friends and we will certainly be back! You’ve given our family a vacation to remember, one we will be talking about years to come!

Wow what an amazing view. The cabin was stunning, so very clean. Fully stocked kitchen. We were fortunate enough to see bears every day. Cabin is close enough to walk to town, though I didn’t the hill is steep, the teenagers did every day though. The host told us of a parking spot close to the main strip we used daily. Cabin is located right by the entrance to the national park. Just a perfect location. Loved everything about our stay.
