We had a wonderful stay at 3 Irish Sons! The house easily accommodated our family (4 adults + 2 kids) and was well furnished. The kitchen was well stocked and there are plenty of entertainment options (games, hot tub, firepit, etc.). Thank you for hosting us and providing an incredible place for a family getaway!
I met up with my high school friends for a long weekend. The cabin was perfect. We cooked in the kitchen 2 nights and there were plenty of supplies to cook with. It’s stocked with lots of toiletries that most vrbos don’t have. Brown County shops and restaurants were a short drive away. We also found a nice park with walking trails right down the road.
The property was everything we hoped, just a bit dusty and some mess left from last renter. Otherwise amenities were top notch, views were amazing, beds were comfy, spa was great, and all was set up for maximum enjoyment!
A great cabin! Needed a little dusting in places but perfectly fine :) A beautiful place to stay! We had a problem with the thermostat problem-not heating, their response time and fast acting made our stay wonderful! Accommodated our group of 7 just fine. Will want to go back when it is a little warmer and can sit out along the porch and enjoy the scenes.
I'm sure it doesn't happen often but the WiFi went down on the 2nd day of our stay. It's nice to unplug but when cell phone coverage is virtually non-existent, it made our stay very difficult. We dealt with a health situation as well as a vehicle breakdown and could make NO arrangements from the cabin. We had to drive the 15 minutes to our relative's house to get on their WiFi to make calls or do internet searches. We didn't see any directions as to how or what to reboot. It was even difficult to call the management company, who tried hard to fix the problem. But on the next to last day, they left a message but again, I had no way to retrieve it with NO cell phone coverage. And we had various cell phone providers, TMobile as well as Verizon. It made our otherwise pleasant vacation very difficult. The management company did refund a portion of our fees for the lack of the amenity. We also would have liked to have some family members join us for a meal but were discouraged from doing so because of the septic system.
Amazing location. All the amenities you could ask for.
My family and I have rented over 30 cabins in various different cities over the years. This cabin is arguably the best as it is beautifully decorated with an extremely thought-out welcoming package. The layout of the entire cabin is wonderful, as all the bedrooms are set off to the side and include blackout curtains with extremely comfortable mattresses. The absolutely true high-speed internet is real and works extremely well with multiple wireless devices. The wrap-around deck was extremely comfortable and included a charcoal grill, ceiling fan and just enough furniture (we did not use the fire-pit as there were drought conditions which could cause wildfires). TV's are equipped with Dish TV satellite and work nicely. Also included are various different streaming apps. The only thing I'd change is the fairly ridiculous Samsung refrigerator. The freezer locks you out for a bit when you close the door, meaning you can't open, close and reopen the door - this is painful during family meals. Also, the appliance defrosts water down the inside front meaning food in the front of the fridge will eventually get wet. This has nothing to do with the owner, but the fridge needs to be replaced and almost took a star off - yeah, it's that much of a nuisance... The cabin sits ~10-15 mins from Nashville, ~25-30 mins from Bloomington and it's just a little farther to Lake Monroe. I highly recommend this cabin - so much so, that I'd like to buy it or build one just like it nearby. Fix the fridge and you have a 4.999 out of 5 cabin...!
We absolutely loved the cabin!!! It was spacious and a perfect secluded spot for our group. The rooms were very nice and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. We also thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub! It was also very nice having a bathroom on each level of the house!!!
We stayed at 3 Irish Sons cabin. Everything was clean and beautiful. We liked the privacy and felt secluded. We enjoyed the fire pit, and drove south to rent a boat on Lake Monroe, then out to eat in Nashville . Was a memorable stay
It was great!
This was a lovely home and a lovely setting. The cleanliness of the property, upon arrival, was outstanding. The one thing I was a little disappointed about was having to do more than the usual cleaning upon check out. Typically you only have to load the dishwasher and run it. In this property, you have to also unload it. Which basically meant that we couldn't cook our breakfast and just load our stuff in and run it before you leave. Also, in addition to emptying at the fridge you have to wipe it out. It seemed a bit much when you are paying a cleaning fee and also left an envelope to tip the cleaners if so desired. Just a warning for older couples who might say this property, the stairs going to the second floor are a bit steep so proceed with caution. Overall though, even with the power outage due to weather, we did have a wonderful time!
