POWELL, Wyoming
Always wanted to stay in a tiny home Thats what we have here at our Llama Ranch. A tiny home, that has a small kitchen, living room, 1 bathroom with a cool horse trough tank to shower in. Upstairs is where you crawl into your bed and sleep. Nestled in our Llama Dude Ranch where you can visit our furry creatures and if your so inclined take a day or multi day trek with us & exploring the beautiful mountain ranges that surround Yellowstone/ Cody Wyoming.
As soon as we went to bed we noticed many dark stains and hair on the sheets that looked like blood. It was late so we didn’t get a response from the property manager. We used the cleanest pillows we could find. We sent pictures in the morning and got a very slow response. Didn’t answer our calls until later that day. We eventually received clean sheets that evening. In addition to the stained sheets the room had just been freshly varnished so the smell was extremely strong. We nearly slept in the truck due to the strong fumes. It took 3 times to wash my clothes until the smell came out. Overall, everything seemed to be newly built and nice but the sleeping situation was not ideal.
Perfect size for the three of us.
The furniture pictured was not complete. NO chairs for eating at table....Futon broken. Reported this to owner the first night and after we left owner is billing us for damage that we did NOT do. She admitted that the dining chairs had been broken and she had not replaced. She seemed un aware of the broken Futon. We had to eat sitting on the floor and had no seating in the living room. The kitchen as it refers has a microwave/ sink/ and a one eye cook top. Not quite what I would consider a kitchen. Be careful renting this unit.
We stayed here for a week vacation in the Yellowstone area. The location is about an hour away from the east gate but only about 10 minutes from Cody with a lot of things to do. The little house is exactly as the pictures indicate. Beds are up the ladder in the loft and comfortable. The llamas are there to check you out in the evenings and after a day there will be two cats who will come to meet you. Really nice stay.
The good-Cute tiny home about 15 minutes outside of Cody. Great price. Llamas outside to watch. Loved the concept. The bad- Close to main road and there is construction of 2 other tiny homes going on right now. Was hoping for a little more peace. Bed upstairs is not very comfortable. Needs mattress pad and cover.
Having had this place booked for over two months, receiving confirmation and “our keys” days before our stay, the property owner waited until less than three hours before check in to cancel our reservation. Leaving my family (including a toddler and infant) with no place to stay on a holiday weekend. As cute and fun as staying on a llama ranch sounds, I would never recommend staying here. Save your time and energy and book elsewhere.
My husband and I were on a road trip from Michigan touring the national parks out west. This was one of several spots we had the pleasure of staying. Levi and Justin were wonderful and the animals on the farm made our stay so warm and welcoming. We chose to spend some time each morning with the animals. It was such a great way to start each day. The tiny house was spectacular. It really allowed us to appreciate the outdoors and nature versus spending all of our time inside. Thank you so much for a great stay, if we are ever back near Cody or Yellowstone, which I’m sure we will be, we will be certain to book your place again.
This tiny house was great! Charming, clean, super comfortable. We loved the Llama Experience and would definitely stay again--we were sad to go. There are a lot of projects going on (for more tiny houses) and we can't wait to see how it turns out!! This was a unique stay, a must go!
