Little Creek Retreat does indeed overlook a small creek. As you sit on the roomy covered front porch, complete with a ceiling fan for sultry summer afternoons, the burbling waters will provide the ideal background music for relaxing among the fresh mountain air.
The huge rear deck of the four-bedroom home is just as restful. Sip your morning coffee at one of the tables as hummingbirds flutter and trill and the breeze rustles through the Ponderosa pines covering the hillside. There’s more than enough room for everyone to enjoy alfresco dinners, as well as a gas grill for cooking up fresh trout you reeled in yourself or steaks from a nearby market. Should the temperatures drop, turn on the patio heater so that you can continue admiring the star-studded sky. Even better, luxuriate in the deck’s hot tub; it’s a perfect way to end a perfect day.
Little Creek Retreat’s charms extend to its interior. The living room’s velvety sectional sofa invites the whole gang to pile on and watch a movie on the flat-screen TV with cable. In winter, after a day on the slopes, everyone can gather around the stone-surround fireplace; its golden glow will show off the wood-planked ceiling and floor to perfection.
When you’re not dining on the deck—or at a nearby restaurant—gather around Little Creek Retreat’s spacious dining table or cozy kitchen table. If you’re vacationing with another family, the kids can eat in the sunny kitchen nook while the adults indulge in a more leisurely meal in the dining room. There’s a breakfast bar as well, perfect for surfing the web on your laptop (Little Creek Retreat has free Wi-Fi).
The breakfast bar is also a handy place for friends to perch while they help with meal prep. It provides extra counter space too, though Little Creek Retreat’s kitchen is so roomy, there’s plenty of surface space without it. Along with a full array of appliances, cookware, and tableware, the kitchen has a convenient island and generous storage. You’ll be
The property wasn't ready when promised. The bathroom rugs were dirty, and there wasn't any dishwasher detergent or vinegar. The pots and pans available are very few. Bring your own if you plan on cooking much. But the home is spacious and comfortable.
Nice
Once we booked the.house ... all communications with the management company ceased. We arrived and the house is very cute but we could tell the floors were not properly cleaned. When cooking the next morning, every pot and every cooking utensil we grabbed was dirty. This is not waterspots, but food. every utensil and pot had dried food particles on them. We reached out to management and as of today, 6 days later, we have not even received any communication other than an atomatic response letting us know our concerns were forwarded to the appropriate department. We did take pictures as well. Based on the cleanliness and lack of response, I have no other choice to assume it was not properly cleaned or sanitized before our arrival. I have also never experience an owner or management company as nonresponsive. Its quite disappointing. We could overlook the dirty floors and maybe even a single dirty pot but not the whole kitchen. The lack of response is the icing on the cake. We will never stay at this house nor will we ever stay at a house managed by Condotel. You have been warned if you choose to book. I am sure they will respond to this before they respond to my personal messages. Pretty pathetic.
Very spacious with open layout. Hot tub and deck were great for grilling. It’s advertised that a small creek runs in front of the home, we were disappointed to find that it was dried up which could be added in the listing. Great place overall.
This property was great. It was as listed and perfect for our family getaway. BUT, Condotel, the property manager, treated us like we were ignorant over a water pressure / volume issue. They sent their maintenance guy out to check it. He ran the kitchen sink and decided everything was fine and left, leaving the garage door and the house wide open. He never ran more than one fixture to experience the water dropping to a dribble as we reported. The house is on a well and had water filtration that was plugged. Replacement of the sediment filter and removal of the other filters corrected the problem and the rest of the stay was great. Maybe things like water filters, HVAC filters, detector batteries, etc. need to be on a preventive maintenance schedule and not just addressed as complaints arise. That’d be a great PROPERTY MANAGEMENT concept!
The house was very nicely furnished, and served us very well. Shortly after arriving, we notice there were several pieces of trash (empty bag of Cheeseit's in the kids room, water bottles under the couch, a used tissue behind the dresser and some trash in the trashcan). Needless to say, it was concerning given the COVID situation. After a thorough bleach wipe down of everything we were able to settle in and enjoy the space. The view from the front of the house, os not quite as idyllic as in the pictures-you are in fact a stones throw from a road and a large self storage building. But, the back of the house made up for it in spades! The house abuts a steep hillside that takes you into a ravine that had an abundance of deer and Turkey. Overall, we had a nice visit and the house served us well.
I would recommend this home to anyone needing a quick get away.
Awful. I tried to get the code to the place. Called 10+ times and messaged the company and no reply whatsoever. Had to find a place elsewhere. It was the worst experience ever. DO NOT stay here unless you want to be locked out!!!
Very nice
This property is an older home but it’s been updated and kept up well. There were a few minor things such as knobs falling off and the gate was broken when we got there so had to walk around the fence to get in, but I’m guessing management wasn’t aware of it. The house is super comfortable and warm and the gas fireplace is nice. Lots of parking too. They could use some more living room seating considering the house sleeps 10. There’s a comfortable sectional but the only other seating is a bench that no one would actually sit on. The kitchen could be a little better stocked. We made thanksgiving dinner there but if you were making regular meals it would be ok. Wildlife is around and nice houses/people in the neighborhood. The only drawback to the location is there were storage buildings built right in front of the house. I’m sure the property owners were unhappy about that but had no control over it. Over all we had a great stay!
