Welcome to Lil Yellowstone, where flowing waters meet wide-open mountain valley views. A relaxing retreat of truly escaping while living on the land! Breathtaking mountain valley views, and private access to Hemptown Creek’s rushing, loud-flowing waters all on acres of wide open pasture. Hemptown Creek is a large, nationally protected, flowing trout stream and is stocked in the warmer seasons by the Chattahoochee National Fish Hatchery on the bridge right down from our cabin. Conveniently located just minutes from downtown Blue Ridge!
Turning onto Lil Yellowstone's street, you will be welcomed by an assembly line of enormous Leyland cypress trees. Tucked away behind those Leyland trees, you will notice the cabin's massive open pasture. The cabin is a country, southwest-inspired farmhouse that is perfect for a friend retreat, honeymooners, family, or retirees looking for a one-level cabin.
The recently renovated farmhouse invites you in with all-new living room furnishings including a dual leather electric reclining sofa, an additional leather loveseat with a sleeper sofa, a smart TV, and a cozy fireplace.
Both bedrooms are spacious, offering extra lounge seating areas, smart TVs, large closets, comfy high-end mattresses, French doors, and private pasture views. The primary bedroom features plush bedding plus a sofa lounging area. The secondary bedroom offers another comfortable bed plus lounge seating areas.
The country kitchen features plenty of cabinet space, cooking supplies, a dining table plus island seating. But wait, there's more! The wraparound porch offers you a dining eating area with pasture views, a picnic table, plus extra chairs and an outdoor sofa. We also offer hammock swings and a large concrete area for some imitation pickleball or soccer practice. Down by the rushing creek, you will be in total peace as you sit around the fire, eating s'mores and taking in the wide-open mountain valley views. Bring your fishing rods to reel in some tasty rainbow trout right there in the stocked rushing stream! The furry family members will truly enjoy the fenced front yard.
Fishermen, golfers, hikers, birdwatchers, nature enthusiasts, gamblers, antique shoppers, campers, foodies, and wine tasters alike will adore this stay! Just a couple minutes away, you will be on Highway 515 (aka Hwy 76) which takes you into downtown Blue Ridge and the popular Mercier Orchards. Downtown Blue Ridge offers ample entertainment with popular breweries, restaurants, ice cream shops, coffee shops, boutique stores, and even antiquing. Additionally, Downtown Blairsville is just a few minutes away, while Lake Blue Ridge and Morganton Point Recreation Center are also within a short drive. The popular Harrah’s Valley River Casino in Murphy North Carolina is open 24 hours. Plus, the award-winning Old Toccoa Farm Golf Course is also minutes away.
With so much to see and do, you will want to book this stay for years and years to come. We thank you in advance for booking our little piece of heaven!

If you’re looking for a place to just relax, unwind and recharge from your latest adventure, this is the place. Very nice all around. The creek was great, didn’t see or catch any trout, but it was fun anyway. I would definitely recommend.
The cabin was wonderful, beautifully decorated, comfortable, spacious but perfectly cozy! The property is excellent with lots of land to roam around. Had all the amenities we needed! Was pleasantly surprised to see the Christmas tree as well!! Would definitely love to come back!
This cabin has a beautiful view so private and cozy! Loved the towel warmer and fireplace. Had all kitchen supplies. The recliner sofas were relaxing! I will definitely be back!
THIS IS THE HIDDEN GEM of the Blue Ridge/Morganton cabins. We finally were able to book an affordable cabin that offered amazing scenery without paying the price of the supersized cabins with tons of bedrooms just to get the scenery! It was very cozy, yet spacious enough to bring a few other family members for the next trip. We truly enjoyed the breathtaking acres of land that backs up to the beautiful flowing river! Every morning we loved waking up gazing out of the glass doors in the bedroom bed and watching the sun slowly light up the pines (Our favorite). We would wake up, open curtains and just watch. Very clean, comfortable furnishings and LOVED the dual reclining heated sofas with coffee holders! The owner had it all decorated for the Holiday season which made us feel like we were in a little Hallmark movie. They have a HUGE fenced in front yard with sitting area so we could just watch our little pup play off leash and get tired out. We were just 10 minutes from Downtown Blue Ridge where I completed all my Holiday shopping. My husband has to use a walker to walk, so this cabin was easy for him to get everywhere. The short gravel driveway into the property was very level with easy access in and out. It was nice we could park right by the side porch kitchen door for unloading groceries and luggage. We hope to stay here a few more times next year for quick weekend getaways!
We have visited the Blue Ridge area for years, but this by far was our favorite cabin! My retired father fished in the backyard every day. We lit evening fires while watching the sunset over the mountain. We loved sitting on the deck with our morning coffee and enjoying the beautiful pasture and cows across the way. The land reminds us of our old country home in Montana. We felt truly transported and we never wanted to leave. The dog enjoyed the front fenced yard. The living room heated sofa recliners were an extra treat. We also loved being just 10 min from downtown Blue Ridge and grocery stores. We are ready to book our summer trip here soon!!!
While it property was just off the highway, literally minutes, the setting was perfect for a relaxing, peaceful get away. Proximity to stores for necessities was no more than 15 minutes away. We went to fish the Toccoa and the location of the home was no more than 15 minutes from departure to parking at Tammen Park. The property was also on a river branch that is stocked and within walking distance of the property. The backyard was perfect for two active children and dog. A truly wonderful setting for all sorts of activities including roasted hot dogs and smores.
My husband and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary somewhere quiet and peaceful and beautiful, and this was the PERFECT choice. So much space and privacy, we loved all of it! Despite having such privacy, feeling blissfully unplugged and detached ….. it was still so close to downtown Blue Ridge with the cutest and coolest restaurants, lots of shopping, multiple wineries at your fingertips, and lots to do all around in every direction. We got the best of both worlds while being here on our anniversary getaway. But with all that open play space, we will definitely book again to bring the rest of the family. I can’t get over the sunsets!! That was probably my favorite part. The house was super clean. It provided everything we needed for cooking and grilling. The bed was big and comfy. But the BEST PART of the interior ………. the massage chairs!! Omg, thought I died and went to Heaven.
This house is cozy and yet still big enough for a fun gathering. The beds are very comfortable, as are the couches. Lots of soft blankets, tons of kitchen ware, etc. The fire pit at the stream is perfect. Beautiful property!
Host was very helpful, fast update, and give us right information. The place was clean, cozy, contains everything you need. The mountains and evening sunsets from the creek side are really beautiful. It was our 2nd visit this year, it was very satisfying. We want to come back again next year.
