The cabin was fantastic -- especially the porch and hot tub with views over the mountains. The owner was helpful -- with useful information about the area and the cabin was nicely appointed. The drive up to the cabin was steep (for a flatlander like me!) -- but really worth the view!!

Very nice cabin. Very spacious and clean. The views are incredible. The city of Hiawassee is fun with shopping and restaurants. Owners Vince and Karen Harris are excellent to communicate with and were always easy to contact.

We enjoyed cooking steaks on the grill, roasting marshmellows at the fire pit, and drinking coffee on the scenic porch overlooking the mountainside!

This place is mountain heaven. The location is ideal. Views are fantastic. The home is located minutes away from the sweetest little town. There is a two story Christmas shop you don’t want to miss. There was also a precious little family friendly fall with trails called Cupid falls we did this time that our service dog loves. Everything is the home and town and mountains is serene. This was our second time and we look forward to our third time in the future.

Every amenity worked perfectly, which made our stay comfortable and stress-free.The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive, and the entire process from booking to check-out went off flawlessly. It truly felt effortless.The views were exceptional—breathtaking mountain scenery paired with a beautiful lake view that we never tired of taking in. On top of that, the property was conveniently located close to everything we needed, making it easy to enjoy the area without sacrificing peace and privacy.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a top-tier getaway.

This VRBO cabin was great and the hosts were exceptional. The cabin had a warm and cozy feel. The kitchen was well stocked. The weather was chilly and the hosts had firewood available so we didn’t have to leave to buy some in town. There is so much to see in the area and we didn’t have time to take it all in so we will be back and plan to stay in the Honey Lodge.

Karen was very responsive to inquiries from the start. This home had an absolute fantastic view of the mountains including Brasstown Bald. Location was private, but close to the convenience of town. Looking forward to returning!

Had a great time at Honey Lodge. Place had everything we needed and more. Great location and close to town. Fantastic views and scenery. Only thing to note is the steep gravel driveway pulling into property. Definitely check out The Happy Hawg for the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Cabin was very clean, comfortable, liked how there was 2 separate living room areas, bedroom were good size. Karen was easy to communicate with. It was hard to navigate the parking area with a big truck.

Gorgeous view and perfect location -- secluded, but still within a few minutes of town. A great base camp for exploring all of northeast Ga. We did have a minor issue -- main light in the master bath was not working, but we were able to use the mirror in the downstairs bath and Karen was super responsive and helpful.

The mountain house was nicely furnished. Great artwork & decor - while a rustic log home, it was mountain chic and a nice change from kitschy. My husband & our two dogs enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was clean & so relaxing with great mountain views. The view from the back deck was amazing. The rocking chairs were comfy & the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails. The cabin also has a charcoal grill & fire pit & cornhole/games. While you are surrounded by trees with no neighbors close-by, you are only a couple of miles from Hiawassee & Chatuge Lake.Unlike many mountain cabins, there is ample parking & a flat area perfect for walking our dogs. Karen, our host, was communicative and helpful but never intrusive.We definitely plan to return for another visit!

Great views, great hot tub, nice kitchen, everything was clean and ready for us on arrival. Unfortunately my phone broke while we were there, so I don't have the pictures. Just means I will have to go back again!

Check-in was easy and the property was beautiful. Felt like home!!!

We loved the location (very quiet and secluded), cleanliness of the property, hot tub and the layout of the home. We had 3 adult kids with us and they had their own living space downstairs in case they didn’t want to watch the same movie as us. Karen was very responsive and offered great suggestions for local restaurants. We even extended our stay an extra night. We will be back to this property.

Such a wonderful trip with 3 best girl friends. Roomy but cozy, beautiful view, located close to town, and the hot tub was a plus. The drive on the way up can be steep, but we drove a Camry and did just fine. Karen was very kind, easy to get in touch with, and very thorough with instructions and recommendations. We will be back very soon!

Such a great place to stay. Beautiful view and home. Everything is as described! We could even see the fireworks from the deck on the 4th. We will definitely go back.

Peaceful and cozy

I have been a VRBO customer for years and this was one of the nicest properties we have stayed in. The location was perfect. Accessibility was easy and it was just as described regarding the house. We would stay here again when in this area.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Location is great with privacy yet close to Hiawassee. The hot tub was an added bonus after getting back to relax. We did use the outdoor fire pit and grill. Firewood can be purchased very close to the cabin. We had plenty of room for 4 adults and one pet. We liked having the separate living quarters down stairs with the added bonus W&D. We also enjoyed going to Bell Mountain which is just a little farther uphill from the cabin. Best views of Hiawassee. We will be back hopefully in the fall.

We had an amazing stay at The Honey Lodge! The cabin was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated with stunning views of Lake Chatuge and the mountains. We loved relaxing in the hot tub, hanging out on the deck, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Super close to town, but still felt totally private. Our pup loved it too! Easy check-in and everything we needed for a perfect getaway. Highly recommend!

Wonderful weekend with the family. Beautiful home and true mountain getaway experience. Loved our time there!

We had the best time with our family, two teens and dog! The locations was peaceful and the view of mountains and lake below was the perfect spot! The cabin was clean and cozy just what we needed! Beds very comfortable! Our hosts were very responsive to any questions and gave us recommendations when needed! Close hiking to Bell mountain and short drive to hike to high schoals fall! A must see! Will definitely be back soon!

Karen (the property owner) was exceptionally communicative and welcoming. The cabin was pristine, clean, and offered incredible amenities. Cannot say enough about how beautiful the neighborhood is along with the cabin itself. Will absolutely be booking again with Karen and anyone who wants an authentic mountain getaway should also!

Always a great experience!! We had an old friends reunion and it’s a great space! Always clean, friendly and as promised. We have rented a few times on Buck Ridge with Karen and team! It has always been excellent.

Everything was as presented. The home was very clean and had all the necessities needed. The host were very involved and accessible when needed. Loved the porch and hot tub. The place to get firewood was close by and great burning wood!. Kitchen pots and pans could use an inventory.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for our first anniversary and it was super clean and accommodating. Located about 10 Min outside of town with a beautiful view of the mountains and lake (We stayed in January). Loved spending time in the hot tub taking in the views. Would 10/10 recommend.

This property was wonderful and everything I had wanted! It has a stunning view of Lake Chatuge and the surrounding mountains. I couldn't get enough of the view. This delightful cabin is very clean and the master is on the main floor. The host was great about getting back to me quickly with any questions that I had. I hope to be able to return to this property in the future and would highly recommend it.

Loved everything about this cabin and our stay in Hiawassee. Well-outfitted and comfortable space and amazing view. Easy to find and very private. The owner is lovely - very responsive and wanted to make sure we had a great stay. I would definitely love to come back to this magical place!

Amazing little spot on the mountain in Hiawassee. Wonderful view and quiet location. Highly recommended. Great kitchen and fireplace with sliding glass doors you can see the view from all locations. Wonderful host always quick to help. Two thumbs way up

We arrived Saturday evening, the property was easy to locate. We immediately unpacked and began enjoying our time away. We watched football, enjoyed the sunset and decompressed. We pretty much stayed with this game plan. We did visit a few restaurants to experience some local flavor. Karen was a phone call or text away if we needed anything. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quite getaway.

This is a wonderful property just outside of Lake Chatuge. Very comfortable with enough room for my family of 4 and then some. With its scenic location and “away from it all” feel, this was a perfect getaway. Hiawassee had plenty to do for my 3 and 6 year old and the cabin was exceptionally clean. Plenty of convince near by to make a longer stay here without a ton of travel. Karen was extremely helpful I’m giving suggestions for the area and was a wonderful host. 10 out of 10 would recommend and looking forward to our next stay here.
