Cabin was nice and clean. Had everything we needed. Very relaxing much meeded vacation
Having usually stayed intown we really enjoyed being in the woods! The cabin was comfortable and very clean- a real bonus. I had a minor issue with the coffee maker and it was handled immediately. A place we will revisit. Also 30 degrees cooler than the Valley!
Very nice property. Clean and as advertised. We plan to visit again.
This was a perfect weekend getaway for my husband and I wanting to get out of the Phoenix heat and feel some Fall air. The cabin and property are exactly as listed, fantastic porch and a pretty stocked kitchen for cooking. The only slight issue was the wheelchair accessibility. There is a ramp for easy access, but the screen door that swings out hits the angled roof and doesn’t open all the way so my husband had a really hard time trying to manouver the chair to get in and out of the cabin. Other than that, our stay was perfect.
For our group of 4 over-age-85 ladies, this is a perfect cabin. We especially appreciated the grab bars in the bathrooms and the ramp leading to the door (no steps). The cabin is clean, spacious, and located in such a way that it is very private in a . beautiful setting. Everything works and we found nothing broken! It looks almost new, being so well maintained. The host is friendly, readily accessible, and even dropped by to check on us during our stay.
We stayed here for a long Labor Day weekend, so our main objective to get out of the Phoenix heat was met. I just kept thinking I paid almost $1K for a really bare-bones stay. As others have said, the living room futons are extremely uncomfortable and there's not right way to sit to look at the (old) TV. Also for almost $1K I'd expect more than one single skillet in the kitchen...that everything stuck to. And also more than one wine glass. There were little cardboard salt and pepper shakers like the kind you find at Walmart for $1 that weren't even full. It just seems like this place is a little run down and just banking that people are going to want to stay in Greer. The 2nd bathroom's shower is extremely small--I could barely raise my arms to wash my hair. The main bedroom's bed was fine, but the pillows are tiny and most are flat. There's also only one bedside table in there, even with ample room to fit another one. If there are two people in that bed, one person just has to plug in their phone, put their water glasses/anything else on the floor. The neighboring cabins are very close; you will hear each other. Everyone staying at our same time was courteous at night, which was great. One cabin played music all day in the afternoons which we didn't mind, but if you're looking for a very quiet trip you might not find it here. The cabin was clean, but just old and worn. All of the owners communication says they want feedback, so I hope they see some trending ideas in several of their reviews and perhaps make some updates.
Very bare minimum rental. Sheets and towels were clean and plenty but the carpet looks dirty and smells like a wet dog. If you don’t have pets of your own you will not enjoy the smell of this cabin. The futon couches in living area are extremely uncomfortable so don’t plan on relaxing in there. Smart TV was a plus. Husband enjoyed the jetted tub. Kitchen pans need updated badly, wouldn’t recommend cooking many meals here. Overall it was an okay stay for the two nights we were there but I wouldn’t rent it again in the future just based on my personal needs and preferences.
Clean & comfortable cabin.
The weather was great, the location was super convenient to fishing and a nice walk to Greer. The accommodations were as described with comfy beds and all the conveniences of home. We had a fabulous time ‘glamping’ in the forest!!
We had a good Father's Day weekend at this lovely cabin. Everything was as described and we had no issues.
I'm not sure any place in Greer could be considered bad. This cabin was an OK place to stay. The location in Greer was just fine. The size of the cabin as stated on VRBO is incorrect. It is not 1500 sq. ft. I became aware of this when I read the description on the Myrick's Cabins website which stated the cabin was 900 sq. ft. After bringing it to the owner's attention I was advised the cabin was actually close to 1000 sq. ft. As of today, the size stated on VRBO has not been corrected. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. The furniture in the living area (2 futons and a semi-recliner) were quite uncomfortable due to the fact that futons are just not comfortable to sit on (better for sleeping), and the location of the TV. It was difficult to find a comfortable angle for viewing. The kitchen was fairly adequate. The biggest problem is the minimal choice of cookware. Everything we cooked stuck to the frying pans. Unlike other places we have stayed, the supplies of TP, garbage bags, etc. was good. The carpets definitely need a good cleaning. I'm sure allowing dogs contributes to this. However, this may not be acceptable to someone renting the cabin without dogs. For those of us with dogs, the policy on having them is very appealing.
