THINGS TO KNOW
The Jetpack WiFi is not suitable for remote work or streaming.
The kitchen does not have a dishwasher.
A dirt road leads to the cabin, so a 4x4 that can handle wear and tear is best.
The lake is not accessible by snowmobile. Guests must trailer from the cabin to a public landing or parking area to access the lake or snowmobile trails.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
Security camera details: Outside of home with view of driveway & area surrounding home
Dock details: The dock is available June through September, weather and lake conditions permitting. The dock is just for swimming or sitting, and not for mooring a boat.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page.
Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
Beautiful little cabin in a lovely secluded location. Clean, comfortable, extremely quiet. The only issue we found is - the hot water heater is horribly undersized. Any more than one 10-min shower and you’ll be taking a COLD shower! Lovely retreat for a couple, but a shower together? Out of the question! My wife and I took AM/PM shifts on the 2nd day after it took my breath away on day 1.
Nice isolated cabin right on the lake beautiful views and crystal clan water . Town is about 20 min away. Stayed here in November and it was beautiful. Wood burning stove in the cabin along with good heat and all things needed for a good stay deffenetly coming back . Got good 5 g signal as well
Very quiet, secluded cabin on Moosehead Lake. The cabin was very clean and described accurately. It was perfect for a quiet getaway on the lake,
Nice water front property .very clean and well kept. Only bad thing I could say was hot water was not hot for long, only down fall.
I enjoyed my stay at this cabin! The cabin was clean and very cozy. The view was amazing!! I will definitely stay here again if I am visiting the Moosehead Lake area.
Very ell kept cabin, right on the water. Very peaceful.
This is our 4th visit to Fisherman’s Cabin and we love it! The deck is beautiful and the view is magical. We love kayaking the lake and enjoying all the solitude the cabin allows. Thank you for sharing it with us!❤️

It would’ve been nice to know the snowmobile policy prior to booking. Instead I found out on the day of check in while we were already on our way there. The rules stated no pets/no smoking. no snowmobiles should be added to that so people can plan accordingly. I understand the renters would probably lose a substantial amount of winter bookings but it’s not right to blind side people with a “ No snowmobiles allowed on property” the day of check in. Also, the shower gets cold within 2 minutes of turning it on.
It’s a smallish little cabin for two and it exceeded my expectations! They could use a couch and a larger tv with better wifi for streaming. Other than that, it was perfect. Management was excellent too!
My husband and I spent the weekend of his 75th birthday at Fisherman's Cabin. He had never been to the Greenville area and it had been decades since I had been. It was a real treat to have unseasonably warm weather. Typical of the time of year, the town was essentially closed down for the season. Fortunately I anticipated the need to bring our own food and drink and I thoroughly enjoyed playing house in such a clean and cozy cabin on the water's edge. Everything about the cabin was appealing, most especially the view! We visited Rockwood, Jackman, and Moxie Falls on Saturday then enjoyed returning to the cabin at day's end to light a fire in the wood burning stove, enjoy a cocktail, a good dinner, and a game of Scrabble. Check-in and check-out were very easy. You will need explicit directions to the cabin and Vacasa provided them. The only disappointment was not seeing a moose!
Very cozy cabin in the woods with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed our stay there very much and had everything we needed. Do your grocery shopping while in town and you will be all set !
Very relaxing to sit on the covered deck and watch the birds/wildlife go by. You can fish from the dock also. There are 2 kayaks included with the cabin rental and a charcoal grill is also on the premises. It's an open type similar to one you see at a park. This property had more than described on the website. Great place!
We LOVED everything about the Fisherman's Cabin! A beautiful, private setting with updated, modern conveniences. A true nature retreat.
Beautiful cottage on the lake. Well equipped for two people. Kayaks, grill and fire pit
We loved our stay at Fisherman's Cabin. The cabin was fully stocked for all of our needs and was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed sitting on our front porch and watching the loons. It was so peaceful. The provided kayaks were great. What a beautiful view and location.
Weather didn’t cooperate but we still enjoyed ourselves! Adorable place right on the water! Could use a better mattress and bedding, otherwise delightful!
We loved everything about this cabin. Clean, well furnished, secluded and location location location. Bravo Zulu!!!
The Cabin and location were great. Very relaxing couple of days. The miles of dirt road to the cabin were rough, I suggest arriving in a big truck.
