We had a great trip to Shaver Lake but the accommodations through VRBO were very poor. This is a cabin that you go to just to have a place to get a hot shower and crash. It should not be rented in the winter because of the draft and heating issues. If rented, you should not pay more than 100 per night. VRBO should take this off there list of rental options. Pros:- location was great, walking distance to town and restaurants. - Hot waterCons:- I will highlight a few here but other than the pros above. everything was a negative - Dirty and poorly maintained- up to a 1.5 inch gap below the doors making it very drafty requiring the heater to run 24hrs a day despite being set on a low temperature. We needed to seal the doors with towels to try to keep the heat in.- toilets leaking and running all night. - difficult to open and close drawers in the kitchen - TV/satelite not working- loft would be very dangerous for small children- cigarette buts on the floor- empty boxes laying around

We have stayed here before and, we like it. It's clean, rustic and cozy. We will likely stay here again and again.
