Kentucky Group Getaway w/ Dock + Lake Access

We very much enjoyed our stay at Jr’s Place. The only complaint we would have is that the dock/water access was very difficult to get to. The water level was way down when we were there so that did affect the dock and access to it, but if you are looking for water access this probably isn’t it. There are no pictures to show this on the listing. Otherwise, the owners were very pleasant and easy to work with. We would stay there again but plan our lake access differently.

The house was spacious and comfortable for the 10 of us. It was well equipped with a cabinet of games and lots of outside seating. The long table was handy for making homemade pizzas. The open floor concept allowed lots of room for our little ones to play and the high chair was a plus. Bring firewood if you want a fire. The walk down to the dock was a bit rough because the lake level was low and the stairs didn’t go all the way to the dock. The dock has a rough wake and it beat up our wave runners. The neighborhood launch is narrow and I wouldn’t recommend using it for pontoons. A few miles away there is an excellent launch at General Burnside Island State Park with lots of parking. We didn’t care for that end of the lake because there weren’t many coves to hang out in. We loved the house and now want to buy a lake house.

Great place to stay w plenty of parking and easy access to the lake via boat ramp or walk down the hill for adventurous folks. We had 15 of my family last weekend and were very comfortable. I would stay again and recommend this place. Thanks to the owners.

We rented this cabin for my parents' 40th Anniversary weekend. Our whole family (kids and grandkids) got together for the weekend and enjoyed our time together immensely. The home has plenty of space so everyone can spread out but also nice communal space to spend time together playing games, etc., as well. Our family loved the large game cabinet full of board games. Our only real complaint was the stairs. We had a couple falls while we were there. They are wood and slick and pretty steep. Just something to keep in mind depending on who all you have staying.

Great house with beautiful views, more than adequate space for our large group,well equipped kitchen , lots of games and nice outdoor area.

The owners were very gracious, checking in prior to the stay, and being available should questions or need arise. The cabin is just like the pictures, very comfortable, and beautiful especially with the Fall colors.

We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. It had everything needed and even items for my infant grandchild. My family enjoyed the extensive game selection and outside area was perfect for hanging out.

There was plenty of space and a nice view for 10 adult family members. Very cool style and layout was great! Lots of games available for rain or at night that we enjoyed. We did have problems with the showers though. One only had on or off, no temperature control. The other had a loose hot valve and didn't regulate well or provide any water pressure for the shower. It was scalding or cold. The lights also flickered throughout the house when any hot water was on, which was weird. Parking was great, and the fire pit area was awesome! We

We were very happy with our stay. The owners were very helpful and answered all our questions. The living room and kitchen area were great for all 15 of us to hang out, eat and play games in the evening. The upstairs loft was a great place for all the teenagers to hang out and sleep. There was plenty of room to park cars and trucks and trailers. The path to the boat dock is a little difficult but there is a railing and we managed fine. Thank you for sharing Jr's Place with us! This is the perfect place to vacation with family!

We had a great time. The cabin was beautiful and the kids especially enjoyed the loft area. Plenty of space. We had a great time swimming in the lake and singing around the fire pit?! The kids had an epic game of hide and seek too! Wonderful communication from the hosts and everything was very clean!

Perfect long weekend trip with family of all ages! The cabin was as expected and comfortable. A steep walk to the dock, but worth it for the lake views, swimming, and boating! The hosts were super responsive and kind, going out of their way to help us.

The property was great for our extended family. The open great room and kitchen was large enough to accommodate, yet there were plenty of spaces one could go to get away if needed. Two bedrooms on the main floor were welcomed for those that have trouble navigating stairs. The inside stairs to the loft are steep, but access from the deck was easy. Plenty of sleeping options upstairs and downwas welcomed as well. The game room was well used and the abundance of board games and puzzles was nice as well. The wifi worked as advertised, and although some of the pots and pans could be replaced with ones that sit flat on the glass stovetop, there were plenty of choices. Having two refrigerators was nice so that we could stick up on food, because the property is a bit of a windy drive from the nearest grocery store, however, we found that Dollar General was more equipped to satisfy our grocery needs. We rented a boat from the local marina and had a great day of boating and tubing. We also took a trip over to see Cumberland Falls and do some horseback riding which was fun and reasonably priced. The property owners were easy to reach and very accommodating. Overall we had a great time and things went very well. Recommended!

Beautiful property with an abundance of space. Entire process was quick and easy, property owners were very kind and helpful. Would stay here again.
