Very cozy property lots of space and comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen for cooking in. Can snowmobile in and out!
Had a little issue with the water but they were excellent at communicating with us and getting it fix. Will definitely stay here again. Overall Excellent place.
Usable space, plenty of towels and gorgeous views out the back porch. Things I would suggest are address the mouse problem, provide a few more serving bowls and plates, more glassware, and don’t tie everything to threat of a fine. We didn’t get fines or have any problems with the rules but felt the putative approach was a bit over the top.
This was a VERY well set up house for a large family gathering. Easy to find and to navigate each way to the highway, the house was clean and tidy inside, and well stocked with everything we expected. All appliances worked well, and there were zero problems or complaints about the set up from the group. The hot tub is clean and well situated for parents to ensure rules are followed and keep an eye on kids, or to have adult gatherings without bothering the rest of the house. Having seen the shallow depth of the river, I would now comfortably recommend this for families with smaller children. We asked for an hour's extension of the checkout time, and never heard back, but otherwise the administrative end of things was flawless and instructions very complete. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to friends or anyone planning a similar large family gathering in the area.
The house was large enough for our big family. It was pretty clean except there was a lot of dust on the furniture, especially the window blinds. The heat didn't bother us because we could open the windows in the evening but we got dust all over us when we touched the blinds to open them. Several of the windows that opened didn't have screens on them so we didn't open them because of the mosquitoes. All the rooms had fans so that was good. The kitchen was fully equipped. It was fun to go down to the dock but be sure to take mosquito repellant.
Pros: - Beautiful location on the river. - Great Location for recreation - Large and nice cabin. Must have been either renovated or added onto recently, it was very nice inside. - Layout of the cabin was nice with many - 2 kitchen areas were nice for a large group Minor Cons: - The mothball smell was borderline overwhelming when you first enter the property. - The front door access through the extremely dirty and bug filled garage is a bummer. - The mosquitos were brutal. I know the area and time of year were to blame as frequent the area but there maybe a screen torn or a crack somewhere that let them indoors. A mosquito trap or 2 outside the doors or on the back patio would go along way. - Rude neighbors. Overall the property was great and the cabin was amazing. I would recommend this to someone else.
My family and I really enjoyed the property. The location was great and Island Park is a peaceful little town. There were a few things that will prevent me from booking this property again in the future. 1. The property doesn’t have air conditioning and was pretty miserable at night. My brother and his wife left a day early because of this. 2. Every night we saw mice running around. 3. The garage was dirty and disorganized.
Overall property was good. Only draw back was at first entering garage was the overpowering smell of mothballs. Which one can tell is that there is a rodent problem. Found two sprung mouse traps in house. In laundry room there would be droppings in the mornings on our boxes that we’d constantly clean up. Wasn’t a major problem but concerning to some. No smell in house though.
House very nice. Loved seeing the moose right off the back deck. Very peaceful and lots of room for all of us and our two dogs. Only thing missing were closets to hang clothes up on. Lots of hooks
We enjoyed our stay at Buffalo Breeze. Had a little problem with the water but the managers were very responsive and took care of the situation. The kids had fun fishing in the river even though they didn’t catch anything. Found out we were fishing it all wrong. We had a large party and had plenty of room in the house. It was very well furnished and equipped. Could use more oven rated dishes. We did see a couple of mice so the owners need to get that situation corrected. It didn’t bother us and the manager set traps immediately. It is about 30-40 minutes to Yellowstone. Good access to local off road trails if you so desire. We would definitely stay again. Very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Just a note, the mosquitoes are plentiful in June.
I’ve rented from Kabino before and have never been dissatisfied. This property was no exception. Clean, stocked, comfortable and the ability to accommodate large groups with ease! Location was great for our sledding family, the only negative was not being able to get my sled trailer to the cabin. It is Island Park during the winter though, so not out of the ordinary as the roads shrink and the snow is deep! We had a problem having no hot water one morning, and their property management was responsive and had the problem fixed within a couple hours on a Sunday. This place would be amazing in the summer!
Very big and nice house! Very comfy! River out back gorgeous!! Hot water pipes froze everyday while we were there. Kitchen oven was left dirty and when we preheated it to use smoke was everywhere. Called management and they sent someone to clean it. Freezing pipes were still a problem. Leave water dripping!!
There is so much room for everyone to spread out bedding and pillows for everyone, it has two dining areas and lots of ample parking. Great location great house
Second stay here and it was still great! The host is responsive, beds are comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a fun week snowmobiling.
The place was very nice for a family get together. Everyone had their own room and a large gathering room to get us all together. Only one problem it wasn't handicap friendly. It needs taller beds and handicap toilets.
This place is awesome! The beds were super comfortable, the house was clean, hot tub worked and was clean, and they were even able to accommodate a late check-out for us. It’s absolutely beautiful, right on the river, and with multiple decks around the house. We even saw some moose in the neighborhood. Highly recommend staying here!
Very easy to find close to several gas and grocery stores quiet and peaceful right on the river very well stocked on supplies everything you need to cook with wash clothes yet it was secluded and quite!!! I would rent it again :) Beautiful
The cabin was great for our family gathering. Very comfortable with lots of room and in a great location. Kitchen was well equipped. Would have liked a better fire pit. It is pretty small with hardly any room around it to sit.
We loved our stay in Island Park. This cabin is well equipped- and so comfortable for bigger groups. You could not ask for a better location, right on the water and easy access to everything!
