Welcome to beautiful Jim Creek Cabin! We are so excited to have you come and share our magnificent location with its mountain views, activities, and wildlife. Located approximately halfway between Yellowstone National Park and Cody, Wyoming, Jim Creek Cabin provides an excellent base camp for all your northwestern Wyoming adventures. Mini-split air conditioning added August of 2025. Newly added Starlink Internet for faster speeds!

Jim Creek Cabin has an open living, dining, and living room area. fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, and Keurig coffee pot. The living space has a television with satellite channels and murphy bed for additional guests. Bedroom 1 has a king bed. Bedroom 2 has a twin bunk bed. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. This home does not have a washer and dryer but just a short drive to Cody, there are two laundromats.

Surrounded by the Absaroka Mountains and bordered by Jim Creek, this cabin offers comfortable beds, hot showers, a fully equipped kitchen, and space to unwind combined with easy access to adventure. Outside, there is a covered porch, gas grill, picnic table, two firepits, and outdoor space for tents. The cabin is only 1/4 mile from the Jim Mountain Trailhead for access to the Shoshone National Forest. This home is perfect for adventuring and exploring!

*This property does not have AC. At night temperatures drop to the 55 or 60 degrees and low to no humidity, opening windows at night cools the property down and lets in the fresh mountain air!
*There is approximately 2 miles of unpaved road going to the cabin. This mountain road is generally accessible to passenger cars, SUVs, and trucks during dry weather conditions. In periods of wet or inclement weather, the roadway may become hazardous. Under such conditions, access should be attempted only with properly equipped all- wheel or four-wheel drive vehicles.

*This property does not have laundry facilities, but the town of Cody does offer 2 laundromats.

*Jim Creek Cabin property is approximately 2 miles up a dirt and gravel road that is steep and rough in a few spots. We have easily driven up it in front-wheel drive cars, but some vehicles may not be suited for it and some drivers may not be comfortable with it.

Our stay was everything we hoped for and more. The views were absolutely stunning. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Peaceful The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed. We spent most days hiking nearby trails, relaxing on the porch, and enjoying quality time with family in the fresh mountain air. It was the ideal place to unplug and reconnect.Pat was incredibly friendly and helpful and made sure we felt right at home. We can’t recommend this home enough. If you’re looking for a scenic, serene getaway with all the comforts of home, this is it. We’re already talking about coming back!

The cabin is very nice. Seems newer as of this date, 6-25. Sleeps 4 comfortably but more is possible but not recommended, regardless of Murphy bed. Plenty of room for 4 to move around and not feel cramped. After all, you never know what the weather will be like and if you will be forced to stay indoors while at the cabin.Ad does not state that there is no AC on main pages. Wife drilled down some and found a reference to it on a sub page. If we had known, we would not have booked this cabin. It turned out okay since it did cool off in the evenings and we could open the windows. However, when you have been in the sun all day and you return, you want to be in the AC. We also like to sleep in the 60's. Again, it worked out and we loved the little cabin but we probably would not book it again for that reason. One through the wall unit in the dining wall would be all that cabin needs. If your going to highlight the creek and it's associated hidden campfire spot and viewing platform, then clean the creek area up, remove some of the debris, and fix the walkway. Otherwise, the creek has no value other then hearing it ramble down the hillside.

The property is exactly what we were hoping for. The owners are welcoming and generous. The views are outstanding. We didnt want to leave the property. The drive up there is windy, but the road was in great shape and the perk of it is the view from the top of the mountain. The cabin is very thoughtfully stocked with nice cookware and the grill was lovely. We really appreciated having the cast iron to cook on. There were binoculars and maps and the front seating area was delightful. The whole property is beautiful and rugged and exactly what we were hoping for.

The drive up the hill was accurately described as steep and curvy, which made for added excitement to the trip

This property is in a perfect location between Cody and Yellowstone National Park. Our family had a wonderful stay in Wapiti. The views from the property were simply amazing, there was accessible hiking on the property, and the kitchen had everything needed to make a great meal for the family. We enjoyed our stay, very much!

This cozy cabin was perfect for our family of 5. The surrounding area is a bit pricey for eating out, so we saved a ton of money cooking at the cabin. The owner stopped by to say hello after we first arrived and were able to answer questions we had about the area and trails. It is very clearly stated that there is no washer and dryer, so it wasn’t a surprise. The views were amazing. Staying in July with no a/c was not an issue. Would definitely stay again.

We were very familiar with wapiti. Great views at high altitude. Cute small cabin. Only negative is no closet space at all. We had to live out of suitcase for a week. Would have been tight with more than 2 people. We used bunk beds as dresser space. Otherwise it was great.
