Family had a good time
Beds were uncomfortable for everyone, hottube smelled and didnt heat properly, garden tube in the master didnt work properly, back deck hadnt been cleaned for sometime. Back deck fountain didnt work. Ice trays were dirty. There was a patch of a persons hair on the in table. Floors were not properly cleaned and i have pictures
i We enjoyed the unexpected deer visits. The host was very helpful with information about the area and things we could do. She was very accessible. the kitchen was well supplied and enough linen was available. the only down side for us was not having a fire pit.
This is our second prolonged visit to Jake’s. And we are planning another visit soon. My family, my dog and I all love it. We’ve made friends with the deer and spent some time in downtown Ellijay. Highly recommend!!
We truly enjoyed our stay. Very clean and nicely furnished (and decorated for Christmas) We will be back for sure.
This house was a wonderful place to get away. We had everything we needed and had no issues. Thank you so much!
No problems, Julee was very helpful.
The property is in a gated community. You have to check in with security every time you enter the community. However the house was clean and nicely decorated. The house had adequate amenities but PLEASE bring your own bath towels, wash cloths, kitchen towels, trash bags, bath tissue and paper towel. The kitchen towels and bath towels provided were old and faded. The house had a hot tub, pool table and tons of games. My family enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and sitting on the porch and patio watching the deers (there were hundreds). We also enjoyed Carter’s Lake (the overlook at the dam is breathtaking). There is not much to do in the Ellijay in terms of things to do. It was refreshing to get away from the city and enjoy the peace and quiet in the mountains.
The location was great and it had plenty of room for everyone. The place does need a deep clean. There was also dog hair all over the rugs. We slept downstairs in the biggest bedroom since we had a baby but every movement upstairs or even on the stairs was so loud in the rooms. It was difficult getting our daughter to sleep when anyone was upstairs moving around, pulling a chair out to sit, etc. We had seven adults, 2 kids, and 1 baby. We found out that if you are running the dishwasher or washing machine, you can't shower. There was no water pressure downstairs so we would have to wait for either one to finish a cycle before someone could shower which was inconvenient when you had so many people. We did love the hot tub and the abundant deer.
Maybe once upon a time this place was nice and enjoyable to stay in, but not anymore. We arrived to dirty toilets, peeling paint, at least 5 main light bulbs burned out, little-to-no kitchen organization, and after paying an extra $315 for 3 additional guests we weren’t even provided enough clean towels for all guests as promised. The hot tub smelled so bad we couldn’t use it and even though we were told that since our stay was longer than 3 days we would see a hot tub tech come by to make sure it was in top shape, nobody came. And on top of all that, there wasn’t even your typical mountain view from the cabin. All in all it was unfortunately a very lackluster experience for a hefty price tag.
