The cabin is outdated, and honestly not as clean as other places I've stayed. The beds are hard as rocks and the pillows are thin as paper. The 2 cooking knives are so dull, I could barely cut through avocado skin.Having an extension cord running across the living room is a tripping hazard, even though it's covered up.The light switches should be labeled. I could never get one of the remote for the fans to work, even though I changed the battery.

This cabin is in desperate need of updating. We had lights that did not work, worn furniture and very old bedding, pillows and towels. It says it sleeps 14 people but in one bathroom there were only 4 towels, 1 hand towel and a couple wash cloths. The rest of the bathrooms were similar. Several of the beds were very hard. One of the downstairs bathrooms toilet didnt flush well and the tub barely drained. It filled up as you took a shower. Behind one of the dressers were cobwebs and dirt. The outside of the cabin was very dirty. It looks like it hasnt been cleaned or updated in a very long time. A couple of the bedrooms had 1970s style clock radios that didn't work. The iron was very old and there was no ironing board. We were there for the wedding of our son and had a 4:30 pm rehearsal. I asked for an early check in since check in was at 4pm. I was told they could not guarantee an early check in but I could call the day before to see if anyone was there. Or I coud pay 160 to check in at 10am! I paid the 160 to make sure we could get to the wedding rehearsal. We were only there for 2 days, so it was bareable, but staying more than that would have been very disappointing.

This was a beautiful place to stay for our girls trip. It was close to the yarn shop and quilt shops but was also in a beautiful rustic location.

The cabin was cute and clean, the hot tub was wonderful. Kitchen is pretty small for a group of 6-7. Better lighting in the great room (kitchen and living room area would be good, it was pretty dim.The problem we had was that two of us had to park down the hill to make room for other cars, there was no warning that 4-wheel drive might be needed to get back up. I tried 3 times to get my car up the hill to the driveway and kept sliding back down, the gravel gave no purchase. Finally someone was able to get the car up although it caused some gravel to spray, but it was a real issue. I was happy we didn't have to call AAA or a tow truck. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

We loved it, would return again because it was so nice. One suggestion a larger Flat screen TV in living room area.

Jake's Hideaway exceeded our expectations. The housekeeping staff was friendly and informative, and the cabin was impeccable and cozy. Even our fur baby enjoyed a break from the fast pace of city life. Our family could not ask for more. It felt like a slice of heaven. Thank you for your hospitality and we look forward til the next adventure. not have asked for a better place to stay.

Jake’s Hideaway is a beautiful, comfortable, well maintained, clean, and quiet place. However, the communication between the property manager and the resort staff is seriously lacking. One gate guard actually told my daughter that they, meaning Coosawatee staff, dislike VRBO rentals. Also, the Host Fee of $355 effectively doubled our cost. We won’t return.

The property was perfect for our group of 9. We could have accommodated at least 3 more easily. The Cabin was nicely decorated and fully stocked with all we needed. It was conveniently located near the square and all the main shopping and restaurants. The population of deer was fun to see. We had a great time and would definitely go back..
