I loved the backstory and how it was built. I loved everything about the cottage, but the grounds around it need improvement. That's an easy fix. Also, in icy conditions the deck is a bit slippery.
We really appreciated that the kitchen was stocked with good utensils. It made food prep enjoyable for our stay. It’s such a cozy cabin for a getaway
• Immaculately clean • Stupendous use of space • Comfortable bed • Pristine condition My ancient Blue Heeler and I couldn't have been more pleased. Two minor things of which they have no control ~ While using their gas BBQ, the second burner connection seemed to have come lose or in need of repair (it was working fine at first), and some loose dogs in the neighborhood were obnoxious.
The cabin was ideally located for fall hikes on Mt. Hood. Very clean and well taken care of. We had everything we needed. We’ll be back!!
cute cabin with lots of amenities. comfortable, cozy, and overall great.
This was a great place for just me and my dog to go for some relaxation and personal time. The Chalet was very well kept and had everything I needed. Loved the secluded rural neighborhood that still gave me lots of privacy and a feeling of being in the forest. Lots of things to do and places to check out just a few minutes away.
Location, amenities, ambiance.
Came in for only one night but had a great time in the area. Place is small but perfectly sized for 1 or 2 and tucked into a quiet side street off the main highway. Good local spots nearby and Mt Hood is maybe 15-20 min drive.
The home has been taken care of over the years. Kitchen was well-supplied with decent quality cookware. Whole place was spotlessly clean; no trace that anyone else had been there. We walked to the river, drank coffee on the porch, napped in the recliners and ate great home-cooked food.
It was cozy. It’s just one small room with a bed, kitchen, and two chairs. Small bathroom. No air conditioning, but two fans. It has a musty smell. The neighbors are very close and have loose dogs that they did not call back when we asked if they were friendly. The surrounding cabins are older, and some are rather rundown. Lots of no trespassing signs. We could hardly fit our Toyota Camry into the parking spot, which is at an angle to the very small cabin.
Had a great little getaway at this cute, quiet cabin. Really enjoyed the stillness and tranquility. We are avid bird watchers, so it was great for that. We would recommend putting up some bird feeders and maybe 1 additional mirror for the inside. Other than that, everything was amazing!
The cabin was comfortable and well equipped. My only complaint is that it wasn't that private which vacasa asserts that all their homes. It's in a mountainous location and close to the river. That's great, but it's actually the location is fairly densely populated with homes.
Had everything we needed for a weekend stay! Only drawback was lack of washer and dryer for a longer stay but the real treat was that the tap water was not only potable but great tasting and we didn't need anything bottled. Would stay again for a short trip.
Very relaxing… great place to unwind.
This tiny cabin was lovely. Appreciated the book describing the cabin's history. The queen (?)-sized bed, which has recently replaced the sofa bed, was very comfortable. However, it made the living room/dining nook less spacious. Walkable neighborhood. Felt safe. One neighbor was on the noisier side on Saturday night. Could hear their voices carrying into cabin. Fortunately, their guest finally left before midnight.
Such a perfect little cabin for a weekend trip up to the mountain. Very cute and cozy. It’s right off the freeway but a little hard to find the first time, but that’s ok. Only about 15-20 minutes to ski bowl. Would definitely stay again.
Only reason for 4 star because there is no bed but a couch bed that was not at all comfortable got up with a bad back and bed sheets and towels were very old other than that great idea I do fell the space is less than 400sqf great clean place great internet and no coffee no problem just went and bought some
Good for a quick couples weekend.
Cozy cabin close to the mountain. Made the winter commute for a ski weekend much more enjoyable.
It was a great getaway to be close to the mountain for skiing! We also really enjoyed walking down to the Sandy River. It was very quiet and relaxing! The cabin is very cute and cozy and the kitchen is great! it has everything we needed to be able to cook. The bed was a little uncomfortable, we just would bring a foam mattress to put on top next time. We enjoyed our visit!
Absolutely loved this small cozy cabin. Hand built in the 60s. They sure don’t make them like this anymore. I do wish the loft was open to the guests but all and all was perfect for the 2 of us.
Was so cozy and welcoming cuddle up all enjoy. everything was there we needed . Just bring food, or lots of restaurants are near by. I wish the pillows were better, the bed was ok comfortable enough.
It was so relaxing.
We liked the location. It was easy and convenient for us to explore MT hood. The cabin was cozy and clean. Everything you need is in the cabin. We had wonderful time in there, the size of the cabin is perfect for two of us. It was so quiet at night. The heater was on and quiet as well. We loved it so much. Thanks
This tiny cabin seems like a dreamy location for a couple who love to live in the woods next to a flowing river stream. The sound of water flow during dark feels like an adventure. Everything is just per the description & I strongly recommend this location for adventurous people. Only downside is the path to get to this cabin for low ground clearance cars are hard. My car Ford Mustang got damaged at the bottom upon hitting a rock while parking. This is not a problem for SUVs.
This place is peaceful and beautiful. There are stores very close to buy groceries. The hiking in this area was very cool. Some hikes were pretty close others were a little bit of a drive. Overall amazing and would stay here again.
This was a perfect little cozy cabin with everything you’d need, lots of stuff to do and many restaurants close by.
Everhart way to relax and get away. Very clean and comfortable.
Although the cabin is very small, for two people it is fine, the exterior part is totally wild and without any improvement attention, the neighborhood where the cabin is located is very neglected.
