Always perfect and never disappointing. So close to the river you can hear it and actually feel the cool breeze coming right off of it.
The property is as beautiful as the pictures, if not more. If you have fly fisherman in your group they will love it! The weather was poor while there but that is on Mother Nature. Fun little communities close by and not that far from Asheville. House very well stocked with all anyone would need to have a lovely trip.
Amazing time enjoying this beautiful property. Meals on the porch, afternoons splashing in the river, and evenings watching the firefly’s come out to play…this is my ideal summer vacation. The home also had excellent wifi access, good cable connection for tv viewing, and fun board games to keep us entertained. Hosts are prompt in replying and gave excellent recommendations. We had a fantastic time at the River’s Edge!
We enjoyed our stay in this house so much in 2022 that we returned this year! It's a good house in a great location that more than met the needs of two couples. Memorable meals on the deck listening to the water and the birds!
Well appointed home in a very good location. Very easy access for our daily field trips to numerous waterfalls, boating on Chatuge, Brasstown Bald mountain, Ducktown Badlands and Lost Sea Adventures. Listing was accurate and owner was responsive and easy to communicate with. Black Dog in Hayesville is a family favorite, great atmosphere and food. Carol
Very clean property that has the river right in your backyard. The sound of the river is what I miss most. Not to mention the ability to go fishing whenever you want. Property has everything you need. Communication was superb and helpful. Location between the cities of Murphy and Hayesville is excellent. Very clean and wanted for nothing while staying at the house.
This is a great place! We spent lots of time on the covered deck, listening to the river, watching a gaggle of geese (and an occasional rafter/kayaker). Kitchen is well-equipped; we also enjoyed a couple meals out in Hayesville and Murphy.
It was awesome! Location is perfect. Owners are fantastic. The house is clean and cozy. It has everything you need for a perfect family vacation.
This beautiful home was just perfect! Very clean and relaxing. So wonderful to enjoy the river every day. We did lots of nearby activities such as fly fishing, white water rafting, boat rental, horse back riding, as well as tubing down the river to the house from Lance’s cove (I would not recommend tubing when the water is high from the dam). Overall a wonderful vacation!
Beautiful, nearly new home directly on the river. Kitchen fully stocked with all you need for your stay. Only five minutes to town where there is an Ingles grocery store as well as a four star restaurant, The Copper Door and the Hayesville Brew a little local pub. Very peaceful visit. I was there for my annual Harley trip. Very convenient to all the good rides in the Smokies and extra bonus for bikers; a non ethanol gas station right down the road at the Country Store ( 64 and Fires Creek). Owners were VERY accommodating when I needed some extra help. WiFi worked great so if you need to keep in touch or work……you are good, I can’t say enough good things about my stay but will say I’m coming back next year for 2 weeks this time!
