Beautiful remote cabin with amazing views! Perfect enough to be away from everyone but close enough to drive into town for a coffee. I am definitely coming back!
Great stay
My husband and I took a weekend away for ourselves before baby #2 arrives. We found this place to be quiet and relaxing. Highlights included watching the sunrise over the mountains with coffee on the back porch, short hike on pika trail, and s'mores around the bonfire out back. Fairplay is also a fun historic town with a lot of small town pride. Yes the dive to the house is on a gravel road and is pretty bumpy, but if I can do 8 months pregnant, you can too. Internet has been upgraded since previous reviews so we had no issues.
It was very good and clean and neat
We loved the location. FairPlay was a pleasant surprise - good restaurants and very friendly people. The cabin was very nice and so quiet -
The cabin itself was beautiful. The ride leading up was not what I thought. It was on a dirt road that beat my car up. After raining, a lot of the road was washed out and big rocks that were difficult to avoid. I loved the cabin overall but the first night it rained and there was no local channel to watch the news or the basketball game that was on. It was freezing inside when I got there and took the first hour to warm up. The toilet seat was broken and made it hard to use the bathroom and there was hair still in the bath. The hardest part was the towel I used smelled horrible and just made the night rough. I ended up not staying the entirety of my trip.
We had a great stay at the cabin! The cabin was decorated very well, and we enjoyed the fireplace. They also had a wide range of DVDs which we loved!
The views were beautiful and it was so peaceful and quiet. But since this cabin is at 11,055 ft altitude we were both suffered from lack of oxygen. We both would wake up in the middle of the night and felt like we couldn't breath. Had to have one of those cans of oxygen by the bedside. I also had severe headaches. Too bad because this is a beautiful place.
Cabin was super clean gorgeous and located in a beautiful spot!
The home was just as advertised. It was clean, well outfitted and had great views. Great location between Alma & FairPlay. Their was a fenced area for the dogs & multiple areas outside to enjoy the surroundings.
If you want solitude, this is your place. Tv does not have cable service, just dvds. Few restaurants in Fairplay are open so be prepared to cook, only one grocery store available!
