WINTER NOTICE: Hummingbird Hideaway is at the very top of our beautiful mountain so stravel during the wwinter can be difficult. The road leading to the mountain is unpaved, does not have guardrails, and is not maintained. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is required during snowfall or ice storms for safety reasons.
Step away from the noise and chaos at our beautiful mountain hideaway. Located on 168 acres of mountain, you'll be surrounded by trees, wildlife and spectacular views. Named after the hundreds of hummingbirds that pass through our land throughout the summer, you be astounded at how up close and personal you'll get with our beautiful, feathered friends. And if you love to watch other wildlife, you're sure to see white tail deer, black bear, and other furry and feathered friends!

Very cool large house perfect for a college reunion during the white out! The house is 30 mins from campus which wasn’t that bad. Tons of space, gorgeous house. I’d stay here again in the future!
this cabin is perfect for an escape from the world. tons of space. the house is beautiful. great kitchen stocked with all items needed. The hummingbirds are unbelievable. The view is stunning! plenty of towels and linens. Nikki, the local helper, was awesome and so sweet. Heather, the owner was very responsive. Our only problem was no wifi and the cell service was spotty especially driving to the cabin.. Make sure you have the directions correct before you head into the mountains or you could get lost. We were in town for an event at Penn state. Its a 40 minute drive to campus but worth it for the house and views from the mountain. We would definitely stay again if available for our dates.
