Stayed Aug 10, 2025The property was beautiful. We went for fishing trip and caught a lot of fish. If some of the trees were trimmed close to the bank the fishing would have been better.

Stayed Jul 13, 2025We had a wonderful week staying at the cabin (two adults, a baby, and a dog). It is the perfect house for a group this size. The easy access to the lake made for seamless swimming and kayaking. For the week of our visit at least, this portion of Lake Monroe seemed basically deserted - we saw only a handful of boats all week. It was a quiet, serene escape. As others have noted, the driveway is very steep and definitely requires 4-wheel drive. The walk from the house to the lake is also steep and can get slippery after the rain. It's important to note that the cabin is pretty secluded - there are neighbors nearby, but it's a full 30 minute drive to get to either Nashville or Bloomington for groceries/restaurants/etc. But if you're looking to get off the beaten path, you'll find incredible tranquility here!

Stayed Jul 6, 2025We had a great relaxing getaway at this very secluded and peaceful cabin. Our only minor complaints are that the trees need trimmed back to give you an amazing view of the lake. Right now you can barely see it. Also the long 5 mile gravel road to get to the cabin is a pain but can not be helped. It is worth the aggravation. We will stay here again

Stayed Oct 18, 2024We stayed Friday and Saturday night to watch a football game at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington. The cabin is in a beautiful secluded location on Monroe Lake and is surrounded by nature. The cabin was clean and nicely decorated. During our stay the hot tub was not working but the owner agreed to take $50 per night off our bill. Please be advised that you must travel about six miles on a gravel road to reach this cabin. You must also be able to walk up several flights of stairs to get to it. It is not suitable for those who have any type of mobility impairment.
