Our family had a wonderful Thanksgiving week staying in the home. The house had everything we needed and communication was spot on. Would stay again.
We enjoyed our time at Douglas Haus. Veronica was great!
We enjoyed our stay at the lake and having our dogs with us. One dog left behind a surprise that she had never done before, but Veronica was very understanding, and we were happy to pay the associated fee. Veronica was very helpful in providing information before our travel and checking in during the trip. Pros: - Communication with Veronica was excellent - before, - during, and after. - Easy to access from interstate - Comfortable furniture - Beautiful view of the cove from the deck Cons: - Neighbor dogs were not friendly and used Veronica's yard as their toilet. This is absolutely NOT Veronica's fault; she does everything she can to correct it, but I'd want others to be aware if they are bringing dogs/small children. - Some additional cleaning to outside items was needed. Veronica is a lovely host and very helpful.
The dishes was dirty in the cabinets had to take them all out and wash them. Talk with the property manager she said she would take care of it I sent her pictures. Outside on the deck it needed to be cleaned all of the cushions for the furniture was nasty and wet. But overall we had a great stay
I highly recommend this property if you're coming to the area. Lake access from the backdoor and an idyllic surrounding awaits you in Dandridge, TN, the gateway to the Smoky Mountains. The hostess Veronica was friendly and promptly replied to all of our questions and was a genuine pleasure to work with. I intend to rent this Haus again the next time we travel down there!
