It was tranquil waking up and going on the porch hearing the sounds of the creek every morning

It was nice but a little too far out for what we actually planned

Cute cabin - you can hear the river running down below while you are sitting on the porch or in the hot tub. The cabin has all the housewares you need to cook a meal and stay a while.

Be advised that it is a steep walk from the hill of the gravel parking area down to the step on the porch. With winter snow or slippery weather it would be dangerous. The cabin was clean except for the windows, which obstructed our view, which was mostly of a majestic mountain lodge all lit up at night behind us. The large, gorgeous mountain stream is the best part of the view. You can hear it rushing from inside the cabin which is wonderful...the best feature of this property. The bathroom in the master is tiny; only room to open the door. The bedroom door will not open if you close it and you will be trapped! The lock bolt hangs up on the strike plate and you keep turning the handle but it won't open! If you have children wanting to sleep in the upstairs cubbies...better have a lot of padding because you are basically sleeping on a piece of cloth and a hard floor. And bring your own pillows...it will be the luck of the draw to be the lucky one to get one of the couple of good ones in the whole place. In the kitchen, the electric can opener may or may not work. It opened my first can but no more. I found a manual one but it wouldn't even grip the can. I think it came over with the pillows on the Mayflower...poc. I will say that the towels and wash cloths are very plush and look new. If you have hangups be advised that there is not a closet in the master and a very small one in the second tiny bedroom, but it holds the vaccuum cleaner and a large box of air filters so it's basically useless. The upstairs bath is nice. For the short stay it was okay, as the beds were comfortable but would not book it again.
