Stayed Oct 10, 2021The house was beautiful but definitely needs some TLC and a deep cleaning. There was dust everywhere-on all blinds, window sills, between the spindles of the dining chairs, window sills full of dead bugs. Area behind the couch was all dust and spider webs. Found wads of crumbled (Used?) tissues in the owl jar in the bathroom and downstairs hand towel had holes in it. Downstairs bed headboard looked like a cat had clawed it up. Not what you expect for a luxury price tag. Air hockey table needs some waxing as the pucks don’t glide well. Also would have appreciated a fridge with water dispenser for this price. Reached out to owner with questions about our arrival 24 hours before hand that went unanswered for 48 hours-eventually got a response after we had been there a while but by then it was irrelevant. Lastly, In addition to dusting and cleaning, we would suggest putting all the bottles of ant and roach spray away in a cabinet rather than just sitting out on the porch and low shelf in the laundry room. With young kids this didn’t sit well. We enjoyed the fooseball table and board games and saw lots of wildlife. Heard coyotes the first night and saw a deer the second.

Stayed Jul 4, 2021This property was just what the doctor ordered for a relaxing vacation. Daily event was watching the sun set. Beds were great and WiFi was solid. Road was a bit steep, but we got used to it.

Stayed Dec 23, 2020We have traveled to the area many times over the past several years and stayed in many homes. The Hoot Owl is definitely one of our favorites now. The property is beautifully appointed and the views are lovely. We were thrilled to have a white Christmas! However with the snow we did have some adventures along with it. We lost power for a little more than an hour but the concierge was right on it and power was thankfully quickly restored. We also lost water use for a few hours due to the freezing of the pipes but again we were impressed with the response from our concierge. Keep in mind none of this was within their control and was just part of adventure in the mountains with snow. We really liked that kitchen appliances were all new. The gas fireplaces were easy to operate and worked well. Lighting and electrical switches throughout the home were well marked. The only areas for improvement would be directions on how to find the circuit breaker in the rental manual. I would relocate the hot tub so you don't have to go through a bedroom to access it. Better instructions for the TV (only used because we were snowed in). Also some lighting in the stairwells would be helpful as well. Overall the home was very comfortable for our family of four, very COVID clean, great communication with management and we look forward to staying at the Hoot Owl again in the future. Definitely deserves a 5 star!

Stayed Nov 23, 2020Five stars is not adequate to convey this property! We had an amazing five night Thanksgiving stay with our 2 adult children. This cabin has everything you could possibly want- from the furnishings to the kitchen equipment to the views! No detail has been overlooked! It’s a wow! We can’t wait to go back!

Stayed Nov 12, 2020We loved staying at the place. My parents really loved the fact that it was gated. The views were spectacular. The house had everything you needed and more. We also loved the dual thermostats to be able to control the temperature upstairs and downstairs. The wifi was excellent!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our stay here was just what we needed...peaceful, beautiful and restful. The view was spectacular. The cabin was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable with lovely bedding. Everything was immaculate. We hope to make this an annual trip and will stay longer next time!
