Great chalet, well equipped and clean. Seamless check in and check out process.Quiet location with easy access to town and hiking trails. The bears are real. Follow instructions and lock car doors, they can open them .

This cabin was beautiful and the perfect spot for us to go snowboarding at Ober Mountain as well as visit downtown Gatlinburg. Alan was so helpful when our dates changed very last minute. The bed was comfy, and we definitely made use of the fireplace, hot tub, and pool table.

Nice cabin! The reason I gave 4 stars is the towels and linens didn’t smell fresh. I would suggest printing directions out prior to leaving. I lost my signal and therefore lost Maps.

The cabin was cozy, great location, and as expected. It was a quick drive to anything we wanted to do and a fairly private feel. Beautiful view and of course we were ecstatic to see bears walking up the road. Our only complaint was the terrible TP and the old drip coffee maker instead of a Keurig :)

The chalet was beautiful, but not as clean as it should’ve been and definitely needed more paper products we had to purchase our own toilet paper and there were six of us staying and we got exactly 6 towels and six washcloths. We were there for four days. We had to do laundry a few times.

We had a great time at this cabin. As flat-land prairie dwellers, we were mostly intimidated by the steep roads and turns, as it is decently high on the mountain. But the lovely views make up for it. It was peaceful and quiet. We chose this location partly because Ober Mountain is less than a mile away. And the other reviewers were NOT kidding about the bears. We saw bears every morning and evening. Lock your doors, and have someone watching your car as you carry things in and out....a bear got in our car within 30 min of arriving. Thankfully only left muddy footprints! The loft area was perfect for our 4 teens to hang out, and the kitchen table easily sat all 7 of us. I second the advice about approaching the driveway from only 1 direction due to the angle with the road. We loved staying at the Honey Bear!

My 3 sisters and I meet everyone year for a weekend trip. We chose Gatlinburg and the Honey bear Chalet for this year's trip. The Honey Bear was perfect for us. Very comfortable beds. A great kitchen. And a beautiful porch with a beautiful mountain view. We had a couple of bear visitors two mornings. We loved watching them meander down the mountain. The location of the cabin was perfect! 10 minutes from the Grest Smoky Mountains and 5 minutes from Gatlinburg! We spent a lot of time hiking in the park and then enjoyed delicious dinners in town.I highly recommend the Honey Bear cabin!

As title suggests, overall it was a positive experience and we had a decent stay.Excellent location to access the National Park as you don’t have to deal with downtown Gatlinburg. Quiet neighborhood so we slept peacefully. There was plenty of space for the family in all aspects. The listing description is accurate, however, I’m not sure how long ago the refresh happened, but the place needs more love…again.

Awesome house in mature wooded area. A picture in the unit says it was built in 1970, but it's been recently updated and very modern inside. Hot tub was nice. View was awesome, we think it was Mt LeConte. Definitely a lot of bear traffic, they left us alone, we watched from a distance. Probably a 5 minute drive to the strip.

The house is beautiful inside and out. Our girls vacation was fun. The view is great from the front porch. We even had a breakfast guest our 2nd morning. A juvenile bear walked the railing. Was amazing.

The house is on a bear trail meaning there is a show at least twice per day! We had so much fun watching a Momma and her baby saunter by every morning and afternoon. That being said, the host is not joking when he says to LOCK YOU CAR! House is clean and spacious, with everything you would need. We had to contact Alan (host) about a pool key that was misplaced and he responded immediately. The driveway can be daunting, but once you get used to mountain living it is a non issue. Great trip!!

The inside of the house was great. Very clean. Outside needs to be power washed to get rid of cobwebs. Also, the deck needs a good washing and restaining. Even though had issues with a few appliances, owner was great in getting them fixed. The bedspread of one of the downstair bedrooms needs to be cleaned. Saw stains on it. Also the bedspreads need to be thicker. Was cold at night. Location was great, but a bit tricky to get up driveway since steep slope.
